    If 3090 is below 1500euros i'm getting one, but that's really because i have a youtube channel which will cover the cost of it fairly quick.

    I sold my 2080s for the same money I bought it for, got a bargain when I got it new. Its what I try to do each gen, the more time between each gen the easier it is. My back up 970's need improving this gen though.

    As for the livestream, the more you pay the more you save!

    How long after the announcement do the reviews go live?

    Remind me of last time, a used 1080ti with 15 month left of warranty for 450 USD...just days before Turing announcement...sweat deal it was.

    Ive got a 1080Ti on water and am not a fan of buying 2nd hand cards, and a 2080Ti just isnt a big enough leap for me, i tend to jump a release with GPUs.

    Allright, final bets/guess:

    3080 = 2080-ti + 15% in classic raster rendering, but 50% faster in raytracing. 799$

    3090 = 2080-ti + 60% in classic raster rendering, twice faster in raytracing. 1299$

    Really relying on NV encoding ship for streaming.

    Sidenote: we need a livechat for events on Guru3d !

    Exactly high end price is not the problem. Mid range price is the problem.

    This is more or less my guess also based on the leaks, except maybe 3080 being 25% faster than a 2080Ti. That performance would align more with those coming from a 1080Ti in terms of general upgrade as 2080Ti was only ~30% faster than a 1080Ti. If 3080 is 25% faster than a 2080Ti then upgrade from 1080Ti with 60% performance increase for 800 is decent value.

    Hoping prices won't be too bad. The 2000 series weren't that hot of sellers until they dropped the prices with the release of Super. Maybe they learned from that? Then again, the 2000 series wasn't a massive uplift in performance. Maybe we'll see better pricing and a nice uplift with 7nm. That might be optimistic, and it is the year of 2020, but we have to have a light shine soon.

    I am not as optimistic as you, I hope you're the one being right...

    One hour to go. Jacket man is having a dose of his "smartie pills", going over the dramatic performance he is going to pull. His marketing team worked hard on how to make everybody believe this is the 2nd coming of Jesus and its the best times EVER to buy as much as possible. The cards are meh, but he is there to convince the masses otherwise. Hes ready. Last small fart and he fits in the jacket. Last touches on his make up. Lights. Action. "It just works" But... You lied last time bro...

    EDIT: 3070 for 330USD like 970 used to be, good joke right? Well not for me. Guys, really, this is ridiculous times when you WISH for 3070 for 600... like 600 is cool and good value.

    3070 - 330 usd
    3080 - 550 usd

    Thats what is fair price. Lets have a laught soon...

    Last nVidia countdown I saw was for NV30... Cancelled six months after it shipped to resounding, murderous, completely deserved global criticism... It was a horrible product--but you should have read the fake news all over the Internet about it before the countdown hit 0 and we all got to see the "leaf-blower", as it was called with venomous scorn, especially from Kyle at [H], in action... For nVidia's sake, I hope this countdown is better, and that we don't hear--"Shipping in Q1 2021--so reserve yours now! Pre-orders get 5% off of the low introductory price of just $1599 for the base model! First-run production will be sparse, so reserve yours today!"***

    ***Disclaimer: We at nVidia anticipate getting the first run of these out to reviewers sometime in December, 2020, we hope. But...if not December, then you will surely see product reviews as soon as January 2021! Ampere will electrify you down to your bones!

    This should be fun...I wonder if these things really will be the triple-wide, space-gobbling, power-sucking behemoth monsters we've seen in all these half-released "photos" that have circulated! Going to be a fun day, indeed!...!

    Note to Guru 3d webmaster...please, for the love of nV30 and the upcoming Amperage™ product line using electricity for the first time rather than gerbils on a treadmill...and for the sake of all things holy and good about 2020 Internet Netiquette... please add a "Disable Smileys" button for forum posts! The button control should be right alongside the "preview" button control, imo. Thanks in advance--I have this bad habit of doing far too many of these ;) when writing a post and I always have to go back and change them--so much more convenient to simply cancel the emoticons with a button press! You will have my undying gratitude--!....;)

    It is interesting to see how rtx 3080 is priced, as a base comparison from above and below.

    And how many tines Jensen is gonna say it just works this time. Hell, if he says that phrase even one time I gonna troll him hard everywhere.
