NVIDIA just announced the GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090, it has been a confusing ride as the leaked shader specifications you all have seen, all precisely doubled up. Something has changed on the architecture side of things alright. We prepared an article with an overview of what we know so far including models, specs and prices.

    Read the article here.

Not for me it's bed time with alarm set for 15 min before see yall then!

My $2106.47 (needed to cover if the card cost $2000 USD +my tax in my state) is ready to go in my internet spending account.

But let's pray tat I won't need to spend all of it tomorrow!

Or whenever they go in pre-order.

Not that one would get anything out of seeing the conference live (except for the kick ofc), or preordering asap as in two hours later. But it's an enthusiast forum, isn't it? :)
I'll gladly do the other things I have to do and check on this topic at some point later.

I think i'll pass on this gen only 10 gig on the 3080 is poor feel sorry for the early adopters then they bring the 12 gig version a few months down the road not going to spend all that money for more ported games my RTX 2080 will last a few years yet and will still be able to play cyberpunk 2077 no problem may even spend my money and get both the new Xbox and playstation 5 win win

One day...I will see Jensen moonwalk onto the stage, wearing a backwards baseball cap and a leather jacket, with a boombox on his shoulder and then, rap the speech out.

    One day.

Until then, I am at a bit of a quandary right now and am looking at these cards with all seriousness for a purchase. I am looking away from intel on CPU, that's a certain for everyone I think (unless intel pull a rabbit out of the bag, and not a sandwich) and going for AMD on cpu, but GPU? I have to go to nvidia on this, but, begrudgingly...for the simple reason that overcharging their GPU, when "everything" that is going on in the world, with millions losing jobs etc, is a very bitter pill to swallow.

A little bit like...EA charging $70 for a basketball game...it just feels totally out of place "at this moment in time"...yet LJ Jensen thinks it's perfectly fine to charge what he is going to charge for a GPU.

    nvidia has enough $'s

It's not unusual for billionaires to be slightly out of touch with the common man, who has to live paycheck to paycheck and has no savings at all in bank.

Yup - heard that...and right now, lots of people have zero paychecks, yet LJJ thinks that charging $1,400 for a graphics card is perfectly acceptable.

I´m eagerly antecipating Hilbert´s recap of the announcement because i´m not going to waste my time watching Jensen saying how good Ampere is going to be and how is going to change the world and cure cancer...

Well, at the same time, a high end, enthusiast-level GPU is hardly a life necessity. We'll always pay for luxury.

    Yeah and a midrange 3070 600$ is a steal.

It's perfectly acceptable. No-one needs or is forced to buy a high end graphics card. You can play games just fine on a 1060.
