You omitted the PSU. Why don't you fill in your specs, so peeps can see your rig?
Looks like a MONSTER rig!
Come to think of it, my rig is pretty sweet in it's own right! ;)
It wouldn't catch up to your's, though. :(

Well, I’d be interested in buying a 9800GTS if the price is right and the timing is right,…along the lines of Oct / Nov / Dec of this year.

I just ordered the following parts and have received them all:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 stepping (hopefully it’ll do ~3.6GHz although I hear some ppl are getting more with only good air cooling)
Thermalright Ultra-90A L775 HS with Thermaltake Smart Fan 90mm (Also have an HR-01 with 120mm fan)
    Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R P35 motherboard
OCZ DDR2 800 / PC6400 1GB Kit (yeah I know but it was only $35US so I‘ll add more later)

The rest off the build will be from other parts I already have on the shelf:

120GB or 160GB HDD (if I can find a retail 250GB HDD for ~$50 I’ll buy it, these deals pop up from time to time)

Media Center Edition 2005 or Vista Home Premium (both previously unused)

MSI X1650 Pro (although I could stick in the eVGA 8800GTS 320MB)

Vbox Cat’s Eye 164e Dual configurable Analog / Digital Hybrid tuner

    Coolermaster 650W SLI PSU

Antec server case and so on,…..

In any case, a 9800GTS would be a welcome upgrade (as soon as it is available) if I start off the build with a X1650 Pro. I came close to buying a 680i based motherboard or waiting for the new Intel X38 chipset but I opted for the P35 instead.

Your attempt at getting "epic lulz" has back fired to the point where you should be banished from guru3d forums.

So 65nm eh? I hope they will make the card smaller again aswell, there are plenty of size problems with those hard drive racks in all the new cases.

These card will only be DX10.1 right? You probably won't be able to run them in XP I take it.

What makes you think that? Past GeForce cards have had compatibility with older versions of DirectX, including the GeForce 8 series which is both DirectX 10 and DirectX 9 compatible.

The 9800 will in all likelihood just come with DirectX 10.1 as its highest supported technology, with fallback to past versions as always. DirectX 10.1 is hardly any different to vanilla DirectX 10 anyway, so there'd be no logical reason for its compatibility to be much different to the GeForce 8s.

He tells the truth about EA

So much for the ps3 version being only 30fps.

Just brings the idea to me that when the 9800 comes out, i hope EA improve the system they have for releasing games.

If you think of it now BF2 was more of a alpha release, with the amount of patches its had.
