Well, for the popping I tried just about everything that was relevant as shown on this page

    http://ask.americas.creative.com/SR...0},VARSET=ws:http://us.creative.com,case=6516

I even moved my Sound card to different slots so that it got its own IRQ with no sharing.

Of course, the only thing that worked was going back to 71.89 nvidia driver (as strange as it seems... It was suggested by someone else and at first I was skeptical, but alas, they were right).

So, do i want great performance and the ability to play Gothic 2 again and put up with the odd popping in some games (76.xx), or perfect sound, reduced performance and gothic 2 texture flashing like there's no tomorrow (71.89) ;) At the moment, I've gone with the performance (76.xx).

Yeah, I had already tried those. Still get pops and clicks in Silent Hunter 3 with 76.xx drivers though.. Most of my games are fine, there's only a couple with the odd sound clipping etc.. I can always go back to 71.89 if I get desperate, but so far its not bad enough to lose the speed boost and gothic 2 playability.

Im sticking with my good ole XG76.50's that run every game I have like butter...
these 76.45's have too many people having too many problems. and all of these sound related issues.... The best thing I ever did was to pull an Audigy 2ZS out and use soundstorm instead. That alone cleared up all kinds of little BS problems for me..Creative drivers will always be a problem.....a drag...
    good luck :D

These drivers don't work with Cossacks 2:( .

    This is the error:

    http://img28.echo.cx/my.php?image=error8ar.jpg

It happens when i try to play a multiplayer game with more then 2 players.... With the official 71.89 I have no problems running the game.

Drivers are great for DirectX games, but i get very low FPS in some OpenGl games (KOTOR).

It'm having problems with those games ever since the first 7x.xx driver was released. So i'm stuck with 67.03.

They seem good for the time being, though I've only been playing HL2 with them.

    Hi guys,

I ran some benchmarks and got some nice boost from 76.45 but I did cheat changed CPU multi to 11.5x216 MHz fsb now. :D

In Task Manager with 15 processes running in background while do benchmarks.

Look below the compared the score before and after.

    Before
    -----------------------
    3dmark01- 18405
    3dmark03- 9022
    3dmark05 - 3639
    Aquamark 3- 53,355

    After
    ----------------------
    3dmark01- 18545
    3dmark03- 9178
    3dmark05 - 3759
Aquamark 3- 53,306 <--- little lose pt is no big deal.

I used 76.44 before, now 76.45 is about same as 76.44 but little faster what I have seen was played on Far Cry.

BTW, 76.45 is great driver as 76.44 too :D

    Peace

    This drivers are great! ;)

Was using the 67.02 because the whole 70.xx drivers where just crap and the temperature problem didn't help, but those 76.45 are excellent and works with everything, are faster than my old 67.02 (doom3 and other bench) and gone is the temperature bug.

hehehe, roll on to the next set, but i doubt there'll be any more good ones like these. :D

These drivers have been rock solid and smooth for me. best drivers yet on my system. 76.45 is most likely 76.44 with a couple bug fixes. I dont use synthetic bechmarks...or oil ...lol
but i can test any game out there and i haven't had my system this stable and smooth since nvidia released the 30.82 drivers in the geforce 4ti4600- era.

Hey whats up fellow DFI'er "ANGRY_GAMES" Welcome to the guru forums man. Wow you gettin some nice toys over therr to play with.. Sweet System...:D

would rthdribl be an openglgame, becoz this can be fixed by forcing rivatuner into opengl 1.5 compatibility mode

what are your thoughts compared this to 71.89?

i think 71.89 (from leadtek's WINFOX) is much superior on stability and fluent in gameplay.

These may get higher FPS on CS:S but when it comes down to battle, i drip FPS massively

After doing some testing i noticed that my FPS were much higher in some games (i upgraded from 67.03).

Here are some examples (1280x1024, 2XAA, 16XAF, all settings in all games were set to highest quality):

    - SP Chaos Theory (Bank level - outside):
    67.03 - 27 FPS
    71.89 - 32 FPS
    76.45 - 38 to 40 FPS

    - DOOM 3 (Timedemo):
    67.03 - 88 FPS
    71.89 - 90 FPS
    76.45 - 92 FPS

    - Half-Life 2 (Black Mesa East - Outside, looking to the right side of the water):
    67.03 - 55 FPS
    71.89 - 57 FPs
    76.45 - 64 FPS

    - SW: KOTOR (Dantooine - Sandral Estate):
    67.03 - between 40 and 50 FPS
    71.89 - 2 to 20 FPS (that's right)
    76.45 - same as 67.03
