    Hey guys,

I'm from one click away from buying this laptop:
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152266

I was wondering if any real benchmark or reviews from the new 560m was released ? From what I read, the card offers the same performance as the 460m and even less, but is more energy efficient.

I just want to make sure before committing because the older model (GT680R) with the 460m is 200$ less !

    Thx

The only benchmark I've seen gives 560M 7% more speed - and as it clocks 100MHz more, it should be faster. But how much and is it worth the difference - that's the question.

The 560 comes in two flavours I think, one only has 128bit memory bandwidth and the other has 192bit, the first being basically identical in performance to the 460.

According to that website it may be as straight forward as the 1gb version is the 128bit and the 1.5gb version is the 192bit and since the laptop you linked is 1.5gb then it would seem its the one to go for, but I would maybe contact MSI and get it confirmed.

    Awesome.

Now the problem is that Sagger and Asus also release new 15 inch with the 560m. Got to say I'm pretty confuse on which laptop to buy.

Asus: Most recommended brand on forums from what I can tell. However, lots of heat issue and failing hardware from customers reviews. Cheaper then msi. I found the design pretty ugly too.

MSI: Good reviews but don't know anyone who owns one unlike Asus laptop. Some problems with the keyboard also. Feels loose on the left side corner. Lots of feature and raid 0 wohoooo ! $$$. Design too gaming oriented. Not professional.

Sagger: Good reviews. Don't know anyone owning one however. Cheaper then MSI. More professional look.

Any opinions from you guys ? Any experience with those comapnies and their laptop ?

    Thx

Never bought an MSI laptop, I feel their laptops are not that great qualitywise, pretty much like acer...

I would go for a high end Dell XPS/Precision, Asus G73 (with core i7) Or a high end Toshiba Qosmio.

MSI and Asus are almost the same, they offer decent products but cheaper than top high end brands. Personally between the two its just more a matter of preference on the looks and features, either should be decent choice.

Sager/Clevo and Alienware are the top end of gaming laptops, with monster coolers and support for the most expensive and best gpus, but expensive, this would be my choice if budget allows.

Toshiba.... to me they are ok, but ill take either of the 4 brands mention above.
