NVIDIA 465.21 DEVELOPER

I had quite noticeable framedrops with these drivers.
In game when it would normally stutter and in video streaming from my PC to the TV via Steam Link(HW). Playback was OK on the PC display but missing frames on the TV. Im back on 465.12 with the same settings and everything is fine now.

 

Color doesn't seem quite as good on these however no more flickering.

This is a Windows Subsystem for Linux driver

 

I used these then went back to 465.12 and to be honest these ran smoother in Destiny2 and this game is veeeery picky atm.


I think I will reinstall this driver, also for anyone interested and using hdmi this version has newer hdmi driver then 465.12

 

These drivers cause flickering on my monitor (upper 10% or so). Anyone know a way around it?

 

whats point use this drivers over gaming ones that have difrent branch with difrent fixes.

Any one will make difrence fps between this and 97 driver?

 

Went from 12 to 21 today on 20277.

All was well for several hours, when the system froze with a black screen when playing a video. Shortly after the reboot, with video again, it GSOD's in nvlddmkm.sys. It clearly doesn't like my system, so back to 12.

I'm tempted to not use these dev builds in the first place, but I think they're foisted on Insiders, aren't they? I recall once putting back on the latest Nvidia release version, but after the next Windows build upgrade (which occur mostly weekly), it was back on dev!

 

These are great in 2077. They don't have the new color setting apart from that no probs here.

 

Any of you can test Detroit became human with these? Couse the game starts stuttering bad then crashes to descktop. Its the only game im having problems.

 

^Ask developers to fix they mess.
Game is a mess on PC, plenty of audio problems, CPU usage spikes (which also leads to stuttering) random a*s pull CTDs, total mess.

 

Ok i just thinked that i was geting crazy couse i finished the game some time ago older drivers twice and now i was going to a third atempt and hangs freezes craches unplayable. I guess i need older drivers just to play this game.

I have the demo of Detroit Become Human and a few weeks ago I could play the complete demo without any problems. Today I have tested it with Win10 Build 21277 and v465.21 and at different game positions/actions the game did not respond anymore. I will do more tests later.

HAGS on -> off = Stopped responding and was closed
v465.21 -> v460.97 = Stopped responding and was closed
v460.97 -> v457.51 = Demo completed with no problems

So something between v457.51 and v460.97 is causing this problem.

Update / Info:
Detroit Become Human requires v445.87 or higher, else you will get an error message.

I should have remembered this sooner, when today after updating to 21286, weird freezes started happening. The first one was after three hours (white screen), the next one a shorter time (black screen). In both cases, I had a video on. Then I checked the driver version, which was silently updated from 12 to 21 concurrent with putting on 21286.

While I know of a way to stop that update happening for "quality" updates (i.e. monthlies), I know of no way to prevent it for "feature" updates like the kind Insiders get.

 

So, so far still the best drivers for my 3090 . Higher fps and no major issues. (Detroit Become Human in game ready drivers is force closing still).

 

Anyone can confirm gsync not working with this driver? Thanks.
