Was just about to write this as well. It's just a "temp" folder for the installation files.

Hm, same branch as the new WHQL, but newer, I think I'll skip the WHQL, these should have everything they have too.

Better use CCleaner with CCenahncer, Mark all junk you want to clean from system and programs and clean system, you can also do registry clean. I use it once a week and my computers works very well.

BUT I recomend to keep nvidia cache unmarked because this stands for NVIDIA SHADER CACHE which is basically a cache folder for loading precompiled shaders, which mostly speeds up load times. Cache folder is only 256MB max and it helps in some games. What is funny some games doesn't take adventage of it, and in some it can give you slight better fps for example 2-5 more.

Good vibrant colors..? These drivers really give you better colors than other drivers? I can't imagine - and how do you even measure/establish such an "improvement"?

    Sure it's not placebo-effect

It was well known a few years ago that Quadro drivers gave better IQ then official WHQL ones. So he could be right, but you also could be right that it could just be placebo.

So do all the other drivers when extracted to the default Nvidia folder during the install process.

    This is my personal feeling.

For someone else may not be any difference, but as I said, these are my feelings in relation to the previous driver versions

Same performance than 355.82 but it seems to have more constant minFps.
Overall a stable drivers on WIndows 10

So far really good driver on Win 7 - no issues. Haven't gotten into any games yet but browsing navigation seems a bit snappier ....

Have you noticed that now the driver asks if you want to restart windows?

I always do restart, but it's been since the launch of windows 8 nvidia has taken the need to restart off.... Well, interesting at least! :nerd:

Ask for restart, what do you mean exactly?

Is this driver better than 355.98?

Ok thanks, that's probably benefits the driver Management of Windows 8.

In addition to that, I create an R356.04 OpenGL/CL Driver to fix the minor ARB_parallel_shader_compile issue, and add the EXT_blend_func_separate and EXT_multisample_compatibility extensions OpenGL ES.
Now the driver has the following "Extensions" GL=321 WGL=29 like R355.97.

    OpenGL 4.5
    OpenCL 1.2.11.0

    Download:
    R356.04 x64 Windows 10
