I seriously hope so! There are a lot of less-played games that are stuttering on these release 265 drivers...it really is disheartening to have paid EUR 260 to get subjective gaming performance that in some cases doesn't even match the GTS250 :(

But I think we'll all feel better once Crysis 2 hits the stores and our new cards will let us enjoy it best (Crysis 1 vanilla @ Very High with shaders on High runs 60-75 fps most of the time on my system with dips to 40 in the forest - smoother with the 267.05 quadros. I'm saying that's mighty damn fine :)

I think there could be a pattern forming, because AAA titles seem to be really well optimized from what I've tried, yet lesser titles are treated...well....lesser :D

I even contacted Customer support via the form on the Nvidia site, I hope they check those... :)

    Well, I tried:
    - Quadro 267.05 from this thread + INF from this thread which already included GTX560 - WORK
    - Tesla 263.15 which you recommended + self-modded INF as per your instructions - FAIL
    - Quadro 265.90 from laptopvideo2go + their modded INF + added GTX560Ti using their Section numbers (001 and 002 for Win Vista and Win7 respectively) - FAIL
    - 260.99 desktop - FAIL
    - 258.96 desktop - FAIL
    - 197.41 desktop - FAIL

Procedure in-between driver installs: uninstall current nvidia drivers from add/remove programs, then restart in safe mode, run Driver Sweeper, restart normally and install new driver. Upon restart, the card still runs in standard VGA mode and device manager reports code 43 (although in device manager its name is "Nvidia Geforce GTX 560Ti").

I searched around and have seen many ppl with code 43 errors, but not due to modded drivers. It would seem the driver simply refuses to start.

In other news, has anyone installed Win7 SP1 x64? and tried modded drivers on it? Or has anyone installed/kept one of the earlier drivers, like 260.99 without errors on SP1? I've read conflicting reports stating that some recent drivers crash on SP1 while they were fine with non-SP1. I'm grabbing at straws here but maybe it's got something to do with it. I can't revert to pre-SP1 anyway (deleted sys restore points) but it would be interesting to hear more experiences! :)

    Well Sp1 here.
I had installed 266.58,266.77 and then these quadros with a modded inf from this thread.
No conflicts of anything like that, everything works perfectly fine as always, if not better.
Sp1 is just a package of all the hotfixes of these months with some adjustments here and there, nothing major ground breaking. So i think that all the BS peoples are posting is either a placebo effect because, frankly, it doesnt change the OS that much.

If you're having a hard time making drivers work with a modified inf file make sure you're using an English driver modified inf with an English version of the driver or using an International driver modified inf with an International version of the driver.

So far these have been the best drivers so far for my gts450. No problems at all with them .
