Guess I'm confused I put 263.09 drivers in this machine about a week ago, and these listed here are dated 7 Dec 2010?

The GeForce.com site prompts me to download these even though I already have v263.09 installed from a couple of weeks ago. Seems from the filename that these are WHQL2 so they may be different to the previous ones. If they were identical then I don't see why it would let me download them since the site until now told me that my drivers were up to date.

I initally thought these drivers were smaller (128 MB vs. 158 MB of the 22/11/2010 ones) but it turns out I'd downloaded the US English drivers not the International ones for UK English. From the download and release notes though it appears that these are actually identical to the earlier v263.09 drivers, the only difference being the inclusion of the new GTX 570 in the installation files.

lol at nvidia. can't even get a new set out for a new product.

driver development in nvidia has gone downlhill like their domination since the 8800gtx era. In a short few months nvidia went from the best AA compatibilty to being completely outclassed by ATI with MLAA.

Always the same policy. In addition, I think they want "us" to forget 4xx series...

I absolutely agree with that statement ...

They are not proud of the 400 series and wants us to forget it ...

Still my GTX 480 ROCKZZZZ with the 263.09 drivers ... VERY happy with that set of drivers ...

they are proud of it , the thing is they didnt get the driver and the new fermi arquitecture working right at the first try and indeed are taking too long to get the right version out but at the same time we could already see with the quadro drivers that they got it right this time so we´re on the right track.

top that with the announced optimizations for BC2 and older processors and we might be very happy with the xmas gift Nvidia is going to throw at us.

This driver just adds GTX 570 support all. Do not bother upgrading past 263.09 if you already have this set on your computer. Only bother if you are a new owner of the GTX 570.
