NVIDIA 258.96 is out!

Now 258.96 got WHQL status. Download from official nvidia site... for Win 7 32 bit it's:

if its the same driver just now whql then i dont see a need to download it yet

If it fixes disappearing profiles then I'd dl and try this.
I can only save 2 profiles in nvcp or else they all disappear.

BC2 runs smooth with these; Crysis benched a tiny bit faster.

 

Downloading now and hope these are better than the previous 25x.xx WHQL drivers.

 

They made a huge positive difference for me in ARMAIIOA. Frame rate, graphics and mouse action are all great now.

 

Nvidia can't seem to write good drivers for **** anymore.
Still having lots of problems with 2D UI, loading screenshots, maps etc.

Probally going back to 197.41, becase every single 2xx.xx Win 7 64-bit driver i have tried has been just horrible.

 

I find that kinda weird, the 2xx.xx drivers were designed more for your card than mine, and i haven't had any issues with them.

Is it one particular game?

Ever since the 197 drivers, my flightsim 9 won't work with any above the 197. I tried the new ones today and after fs9 loaded when I tried to look another direction it crashed. So my 186's are the last that work. Something in the drivers fs9 doesn't like. I have win xp sp3

And it even brings down performance a bit on Far Cry 2.

 

What problems exactly? in what games? im yet to find any problems.

 

Any improvements in Fallout 3, ie have these drivers fixed the terrible stuttering in the game.

I currently have to use driver version 186.16, which is causeing a few issues with newer games

 

Crysis, Runescape(don't laugh) and Star Trek Online has a tendency to get its bloom and weapons textures completely messed up.
Like i also said in the previous post, its giving me a performance hit in Far Cry 2.

197.41's still work flawless for me.

 

is there a profile for Medal of Honor Beta with these drivers? if not i'll have to stick to older drivers until nHnacer is updated ..

 

I've gained a pretty good boost going from 197,75 to 258,96 drivers. Heaven 1.0 Benchmark went up 7.7FPS. HAWX went up 12FPS, Vantage went up 1000points, COD4 got 10 FPS more and BFBC2 got me like 20FPS more with SSAO/HBAO (or what it's called) enabled.

 

yes, and 257.21 have it too.

 

Working fine, no issues.

 

runs like butter in BFBC2, and looks great but I got nothing to compare it to. I literally just got the card in this afternoon to replace a pos 5870.
