They run fine here, the same as .75 ones performance wise, ie . very good.
Tested NFS Shift, rFactor and OP Dragon Rising - everything ok. Also no problem with DX8 (F1c 99-02), no problems playing movies in Media Player Classic HC, no problems with Control Panel, no problems with temperatures and fans not spinning.
    Keepers.

No they dont, 196.86 are not better than the 196.75.

I tried both of them and 196.75 runs better in most games.

    Hmm I'm a moron using a Sony FW900 (better than any LCD) and I run 1600x1000 @ 120HZ (desktop) and 1920x1200 @ 100HZ (games).

    No issues.

Everything seems fine here... installed over the 196.75 drivers... didn't get the initial control panel crash with these 197.13 drivers like I did the 196.75 ones but the System Information bug is still there, i.e. if you overclock the card then the Display tab is blank but it shows if you use the default speeds. Also the Aspect Ratio bug is still there despite being fixed in the 196.34 betas.

Minor, insignificant bugs aside, these seem to be as good as any of the previous drivers and, in fact, apart from the lack of WHQL certification, appear on my system to be identical to the 196.75 drivers as I was using a manual fan profile so the auto-fan bug never affected me.

so it seems DXVA hardware acceleration is broken as well? anything that uses DXVA skips like crazy but software seems ok.

add that to the crazy 16 bit colour issues on HDTV's and you have a very irked chimp sitting here :)

I've just tested a couple of DX8 games, including Warcraft III, and they're working fine here by the way (in response to an earlier poster who claimed DX8 was broken in this driver set).

When I first installed these drivers they did not install the PhysX package like any other set normally does. I had to install the package manually afterwards then everything was fine. This might be the cause for that.

Just after starting AquaMark3 benchmark screen blinking, then going black. Tried re-running after OS restart, same effect.

All problems gone after reverting back to 196.21.
