    186.18 whql - 1680x1050 4XAA
    FPS: min=78 max=120 avg=91

    197.13 1680x1050 4XAA
    FPS: min=39 max=88 avg=67

i reran the test twice, same, give or take 1 fps difference.

Resident Evil 5 lost 5 fps

    FARCRY 2 DX10 almost 9fps

    Stalker runs like a dog

Call of Juarez 2 lost 10fps

NFS Shift crashed during a single race

    Fallout 3 hitch is back

i gained a lot of fps with the new 10.2 and 10.3 ATI drivers and lost a lot with the new nvidia drivers, as of late nvidia really messed up, maybe its that time of the month, happened to ATI a year ago when i had the 4780, a couple of releases were crap too.

let's see what the next set does for my GTX260. :pc1:

i reinstalled the 186.18 and performance is epic, if you guys have any problem with any drivers, this is the set to try. :)

Could simply be BS reading due to calibration, it is software after all.

comparing to 196.86 with modded inf, these stutter everywhere in wow not just northend
also got stutters in lfs, didnt even bother with mw2

i see laptop2go have rewritten their inf, looks like they do something right there

someone said these work great on they sli, obviously not in my case

think i would need clean install win7 as its getting old btw

unfortunately, no. i reinstalled the OS liek a week ago, idon't use tweaking or overclocking software, only had the 186.18 and all was fine, the 197.13 are the only drivers i ever tried since i formatted, what i did:

    1) uninstall the old set + physx

    2) safe mode, driver sweeper for physx and nvidia drivers

    3) reboot to w7, install the 197.13

    4) reboot again just to make sure, check that CP options are fine and everything set to "by application"

    5) bench.

the 196.75 (buggy) and 197.13 are the only drivers that give terrible performance, every other driver works fine, the new drivers just do not like my system and do not play nicely that's all. ;)

    yeps. :nerd:

ok found it out by myself^^
for all those whop are asking about the video BUG:

    from nvidia forums admin:

    QUOTE (user12345 @ Mar 17 2010, 08:23 AM) *
I just wanted to write this, you didn't fix this problem, that's a shame really. In my case video also freezes every half of sec if I turn on GPU acceleration ... I'm disappointed ...

    Win7x64, i5 750, 8800 GTS 320MB.

Display driver 197.13 is based on the same branch as 196.75. Most of the same bugs in 196.75 with exception of the fan speed issue will still be there. A new refresh driver will be posted in the near future based on a newer branch which will contain newer bug fixes. Please post feedback on 196.75 so that I may pass this along to our driver team in hopes they can make it into the next driver build.

    greetz^^
