These are indeed the same as the beta drivers, meaning: they are not WHQL certified - yet.
Yeah i dont know why they named them WHQL when they are not.
And about these 197.13 drivers, all is great, performance is just about the same, might get some extra frames here and there but its nothing incredible.
The only issue i had with these drivers is the issue with the choppy video reproduction when playing MPC installed with the K-lite codec pack. The weird thing is that i get that choppy playing on some videos and on other (in same format .avi usualy) all is working fine. I would use the new drivers if not for that issue but cause of that im still back on 195.62 , nice drivers for me.
These cause serious overheating issues with my setup...
10-15 degrees higher than usual. Only tested with Crysis thus far. Testing other games now and will edit this post then.
Yup...heating up too much in BFBC2 also.
this driver has better fps and is smoother in bad company 2 for me.. will continue testing other games with 197.13..ver:
Do you have a 192SP GTX 260?
That's a good question.
I also score 917, but I also have 8xAA and 16x Ani turned up, rather then 2x. But then again I also have a smaller resolution of 1280x1024.
I ran the test on identical settings to his, on the 197.15 drivers.
I scored 942, avg FPS 37.4.
But it is possible that because of my faster CPU or my FTW OCed GPU that would make up for the difference.
I've some problems with this drivers . I get random underclocking in the middle of games.
When this happens I can't OC my card(via "3d" profiles EVGA Precision or nTune)-clocks down to 2d and stuck, don't switch back to 3d when I return to game.
Only reboot helps.
Somebody have similar problem???
Is power management set to adaptive or performance mode? Some people have issues using adaptive.
Sorry but I use EVR with Zoom Player, as I have said somehwere before already, and there are no problems with it in Zoom Player.
I prefer MPC-HC over every other media player. No other media player can match its playback quality if you know how to configure it properly for your system. I have never tried Zoom player myself, and chances are that I might never will . In addition to that, I still experienced higher temps with this driver version despite Nvidia's claim of fixing it up in this release. I certainly don't want to end up with a fried up card, so I'll stick to 196.34 for the time being.
I don't have this options coz I have AGP card.
Before (means in earlier releases of FW) I don't have this problem...:bang:
Is there a problem with Metro 2033 and the last few drivers?
This game causes my system to hard lock everytime after about 15-20mins of play and I can hear more fan noise than usual, assuming it's the GPU fans spinning more!! Tried 196.21 WHQL, 196.75 Beta and 197.13 Beta and Metro 2033 just hard locks even with the released patch?
Not had any issues with any game on my system so far such as: Crysis, Bad Company 2, Borderlands, Dragon Age, Aliens vs Predator, Modern Warfare 2, Red Faction 2. All can be played for hours without problems yet Metro 2033 is unstable for me
Your computer specs say 7800GTX. That's not an AGP card.
Anyone know if these drivers fix the stuttering issues in DX10 in AVP?
Yeah Your're right but it is my primary PC(c2d + PCI-E GF 7800 gtx)and I have also 2nd (A64+ AGP GF 7600gs)and in this config I have problem.
On my 1st spec.(c2d+7800gtx PCI-e) I use FW 196.21 and I don't observe this downclocking issue.
On my second comp I also used this set (196.21) but I wanna try this new one 197.13(for L4D2/BC2) on this Pc(A64+7600gs agp) .
Too shame that I have this downclocking problem coz this drivers are preety good for me(few FPS more than FW 196.21)
Are you sure you don't have that option? It's supposed to be in 3D settings between "multi-GPU mode" and "Max frames to render ahead"
Working just dandy over here... overclocked to GTX285 levels and maxing out at 64C in a warm room while doing it. Maybe I need to bump my overclock?
