Heh sorry for breaking the Guru code and not being Guru enough ;) Great if other 260 users are fine, beats me what combination of hardware is making my screen flicker on/off in SC2 - also videos are only acting up if using EVR renderer, otherwise all si fine. Performance-wise these are maybe the best yet.

    Update:

Despite always following the recommended Driver Sweeper method, I apparently had tons of old driver remnants on my hdd. I believe I may have failed to check the 'delete the driver software for this device' box when uninstalling drivers in the past - live and learn.

Anyway, I got everything cleaned up and these drivers work as advertised. I still can't select DX10 in Metro 2033, but I'm sure that's not a driver issue.

That's the way it will always will be , you will get people with problems and others that don't. You may get a severe issue in some later driver while others are doing fine. Different hardware setups e.t.c

Is it really that difficult to accept that some people have legitimate issues unrelated to user error?

My videos played fine in MPHC using the CCCP codec pack before the 196.75/197.13 drivers, but now certain files play like a slide show and will only work properly in VLC, if I am lucky.

Multiple people have had this issue since these drivers were released. Did all of us suddenly have our knowledge of computers mass lobotomized by an alien laser? Is there an alien race hellbent on selecting random people to torture with a 10C rise in temperature on their cards?

I do not have this temperature problem myself, but I'm not going to just dismiss it offhand as 'ur dumb wit compooters, l0l!' because that is silly and downright ignorant tech forum elitism.

No matter what I do, crysis stutters like mad on DX10 on my GTX295 on anything after 191 drivers.
Yet others say this driver works great.
No idea why but I would love to know.

    Screw, Nvidia!

Another bad driver - for me, at least!

Vantage score dropped a bit. Far Cry 2 benchmark score dropped a bit.

BBC2 was running well on this, with improved FPS, but just as I completed the ice mission(2nd or 3rd mission), I got a BSOD.

    So, that's it for me.

    Back to 196.21 again, unfortunately!

Nvidia has become a **** company now. My next GPU will be of ATI again!

Same here, I think I will be moving to the ATI 59 series cards.
Uses less power and it's out.
Nvidea have really P****D me off since 191.07 driver.

that's been work-aroundable for a looooong time - set a custom resolution with a manual refresh rate of 59.99 - works like a charm.

I just got the white screen of death with these but I think thats a BFBC2 problem more than these drivers.

GPU1 will not downclock to 2D when coming out of a 3D app. Typical for 19X drivers for me in 7-64.

If you do this you can go to 32Bit and 60Hz without any problem.

Go to screen resolution and then to Advanced settings and then
to Monitor and then set Colors: on True Color (32 bit) and
Apply, your LCD screen wil be back on 32Bit 60Hz:)

These work great, no problems at all except a flicker or two in BC2. The game runs a little better now compared to 196.34 and temps are normal too. Auto downclock works also. If 197.15 are pretty similar I think I'll just stick with these.
