My goodness. I was about to give up. Have try every single driver from 185.85 to 190.40. 190.15 was working awesome on Windows 7 Build 7100 RC but until I reinstall Windows 7 Build 7600.16835 RTM and everything went to hell. Finally try 182.50 and man, the driver is smooth for the game that I'm playing.

    A Vista driver?

I using 182.50 on all 4 of my systems seems to be best overall so far for the games I play... for a while now and yes I have tried newer ones

??? I thought the 186.18 WHQLs where good too - anything past 186 is utter bloody crap - NVIDIA sucks more and more now with their recent garbage of drivers -

OK, so why is 182.50 so awesome?
Does it have the best performance or something? I'm running 186.xx right now. Any reason to upgrade or downgrade?

they're good and all except they're missing optimizations for new games like Riddick, SF4, and few others.. at least on win xp..

182.50's are no good on my windows 7 rtm.Anything 186 run terribly with bugs.So right now im using 190.15,the 190 series have been good for me and the 190.38 were the best iq/performance wise but they had a 2d clock bug.

Like I said. It's good on my rig and the games that I play. So if you don't have a problem with your driver I wouldn't suggest you use it. But if you have try every other drivers and having issues with game lag and not running smooth, give this driver a try.

Fall back to these drivers every time as all the newer ones have issues that irritate me, their smooth as glass on Vista 64bit. I really like them also.

Welcome to the club, I'm also thinking 182.xx drivers are still the best, I'm personally using 182.47 XG modified and for me it's so far the ones that provide best performance and has no noticable issues for me in both XP and Windows 7 RC1. I've been very dissappointed with nvidia since 185.xx and 186.xx drivers.

Install them, no performance increase. Guess it only works well on your end, have fun :)

For the 182.50 is the last driver which support DVI on my system...Its a damn ****, because I dont get ambient occlusion with this driver...on the other hand, with actual drivers over vga/SUB-D the display isnt that sharp and clear as with the 182.50 driver on DVI.By the way the performance is better with actual ones..Its maybe possible to mix these drivers so I can get the best of any???

Yeah this is the most stable driver ever!

the only problem here is street fighter iv, it will have a huge slowdown in benchmarks and in some ultra moves, especially ryu's ultra :bang:

When you look at the filename your question is futile!

    F.e. 190.38_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_whql.exe

You see, vista drivers are for win 7 too, Im using win 7 7100 64bit with the 182.50 driver!!!
