UT3 doesn't work for me with hardware physics enabled in game. Disabling hardware physics sorts the problem. Hmmm... back to the previous drivers then.....

Maybe it's best to disable physx for now and wait for optimized drivers before using it.

Well I went overboard and completely uninstalled old physx, drivercleaned the old 177.41 driver I had then installed and so far haven't had any wierd lockups but I'll report back if they start showing up.

Don't have Vantage, sorry guys but can't help out there :(

I think Cellfactor does use the new PhysX libraries. I copied the PhysxLoader.dll from my C:/Windows/WOW64 folder and pasted it to the Cellfactor install folder (C:/Program Files (x86)/Timeline Interactive/Cellfactor Revolution/System). The version of PhysxLoader.dll in the Cellfactor folder is old and dated 2007. After I copied over the dll I started up the game, enabled PhysX but I didn't restart the game. I started up a match and noticed different effects like I had with Mass Effect. My theory is that Cellfactor does take advantage of Nvidia PhysX but through the software libraries much like Mass Effect or Gear of War do.

I also have the desktop and 2d slowdown issue, still not fixed even after
going back to 177.41 and uninstalling physx!
will try with driver sweeper tomorrow... last resort will be to dual boot another xp on the same machine and test.
The problem is in web surfing and exploring big folders:thumbdown
anyone else had it and got it fixed???
    Thanks!

Anyone else getting a LONG pause between the Windows loading screen and the Welcome screen after installing these piece of crap drivers? I've switched to the 177.89's and it's still happening. :bang:

The pause I'm getting alone is over 1 minute. I uninstalled and cleaned out the 177.83's before installing the 177.89's and it's still happening.

UPDATE: What caused my issues was spybot s&d 1.6!!! (sdhelper)
which I installed in between driver updates...
It is a known issue that does not exist in 1.5.2
I'm on 177.83 now, no problems so far:supercool:cheers:

It was NVIDIA System Monitor keeping the clocks ramped up on my PC. When I close that app the clocks immediately go back to idle speeds.

My clocks are working fine. 2D and 3D modes are stepping up/down well.

GRID performs awesome, even considering i upgraded my monitor to 22" and res to 1680x1050 between drivers.

I had strange issues with this set and Supreme Commander. The game would pause every few seconds and sometimes it will do a hard lock. The 177.89 fixed this issue, however, that driver set runs UT3 very laggy with a player that has the chaingun using the secondary fire. The latest set of pos drivers have broke the performance of my cards since the implantation of PhysX.

    - lmimmfn, are you getting crashes in Vista 64 or XP?
I had a few crashes in Vista 32 and XP Pro until I replaced that CmdLineExt.dll file which is installed into Windows/System32 folder by Securom and removed the registry entries for it. I have noticed a lot of people have had problems with Vista 64bit and this driver though.

This driver doesn´t even recognizes my Toshiba HD LCD.

It recognized it as "Analog TV" and no signal is reaching the tv.

So no HD resolutions are available too.

It seems the very old TV out problems are happening again.

    Back to 175.19 WHQL.

Maybe the next release will fix that hopefully .

Sad that physix has to wait a bit...

    Greets

P.S.: Does someone have a solution to it maybe? :)
