    NV3x/4x statistics needed

Guys, if you have NV3x or NV4x - please run RivaTuner with the following command line parameters then post a results (RT will display message with contents of 2 registers) in this thread:

    RivaTuner.exe /rr10F0 /rr15F0 /rr15F4 /rr15F8

Also, if you have software contolable fan (i.e. fan, which changes its' speed in 2D/3D), please make a note about it in your posting.

Thanks guys, I need more reports. Also, please make a not if you have software controllable fan (i.e. if your fan speed is different for 2D and 3D) or not.

My fan is controlled by the ASUS utility, so i guess thats manual fan control...It can be dependant on CPU usage, GPU temp, etc

EDIT: just redid the test (the last 2 command line switches werent there) and another register was returned.

EDIT2: i guess there was a typo on the last switch too (its missing the rr in the switch) again, updated the results.

You're correct, there was a typo and I've fixed it. Thanks.
Could you set some different fan speeds via ASUS util and create dumps for them too. (e.g. dump for 100%, 50% and 75%). This will help me to understand if ASUS use refernce fan voltage control scheme or something different (e.g. I2C PWM controller integrated in the sensor).

    Sure thing.
That first post was from 100% fan power, but it seems the registers you asked for stay the same, no matter what speed i set it to.

Same thing when changing the ASUS smartdoctor to "Auto" mode or "Smart Cooling" mode.

Maybe its controlled somewhere else? I have to load a specific ASUS driver on top of the regular video driver to make the smartdoctor load, maybe its something in that.

Thanks, I clearly see that fan on ASUS is controlled by I2C pulse width modulation controller and voltage remains the same.

Thanks Falk, your fan seem to be controlled by voltage level and working at 25% voltage in 2D mode and at 50% voltage at 3D. Please contact me via email, I've some non-public questions.
