LOL why did you get a Jaton? Does that card even have VIVO? You just wasted some serious cash. Coulda got a 9800Pro 128 for $308 and XFX 5900 non-ultra 128 for $200.
Or even much better cards around $400.

Yeah a little high but if you got the money go for it. I just checked and the cheapest is an MSI on Pricewatch for $327.00 with FREE shipping.

So far working good, nice find :)

Funny that even with shine & shadows enabled Halo was still pretty playable with my near prehistoric comp. With shine & shadows off it just straight rocks now :D

The 52.70's are working great for me. It's nice not to have the texture anomalies in DC.

BTW The Leadtek is an OUTSTANDING card with VIVO and DVI out and it's around $360.00 on pricewatch with free fedex.

I made a big mistake about 2 weeks ago. Was hitting 47k in aquamark. Should have left it alone. But like all of us here, we like to experiment. I loaded the latest mobo drivers, and wham...down to 42k. I tried to revert back to the version before, but it never went back up. I must have just been lucky earlier, and some inadvertent combination of dll's were present to give me the 47k. But I hosed it. lol...oh well. Do any of you ever kick yourself for pushing your pc a little too much? lol...

    And to Rocky113,

Congrats on your purchase bud. $400 isnt high, it's the going price for a 5900u. You're gonna love it dude. Like night and day in comparison to a 5200. I tried a 5200 before the 5900. Not even in the same league. :D

Has anyone confirmed if the missing textures that make everything grey in Final Fantasy XI have been fixed? I know previously you had to disable bump-mapping to fix this, im hoping these new 52.70 drivers took care of this.

The first thing that I noticed with these drivers was that my O.C. is much more stable. Just my 2 cents. :D

it didn't totally fix it for me.... but the whole screen doesn't turn grey now... you just see a gray haze at the bottom of the screen. Whether that would bother you is a personal preference.

Sweet, so its basically fixed now. You can barely notice the little grey now anyways.

I love these drivers. I have a gf4mx440se pci card. I was using the Omega 4523a drivers and would score 3462 in 3dmark01. With the 52.70 I score 3752 and Desert Combat runs alot better. No problems at all so far.

    ...

OMG!!! What have they done with these drivers...!!? I also have a GF4 MX-440se & man my card have never been this fast before!

I see big difference in older games like MOH Spearhead, UT2K3 & etc...

It's very clear that older cards can also benefit from using these drivers.

    Thank you Nvidia!

Yeah same here, I hit 388 twice in the low detail dragothic test but only for a split second at a time, still can't beat my 18000+ score I got with the 44.03 drivers but that's due to the big F-ing cheat used on the nature test with them. 17079 with the 52.70'

Yeah they rock. I run Desert Combat (BF1942 Mod) 1024x768x32 with Graphics Quality- Med, Detail Quality-High, Textures-40%, Enviroment mapping, shadows, and lightmaps all on. and view distance at 100%. I average about 33 FPS and it never drops below 28. So pretty much its nice and smoonth. I love these drivers.

Well i have to say these drivers are the boss...the graphic quality is the best yet for me, and i've had massive fps gains in f1c/etcc/lfs/ncr2003 they have all gone up by a average of 30fps using 4x AF and 2x AA at 1280x1024 32bit, and they run smooth as silk on call of duty..
