Nv 52.70

    Ok, heres one for you.
    I have the MSI brand 5900U on my system.
    I also have the MSI Live Monitor loaded, which works like the Windows Update....checks your system and lets you know when there are any new updates.
    I just ran the MSI Monitor and saw that MSI has the MSI version 52.16 but they also have the Nvidia 52.70 version update.
    I loaded up the 52.70 version and sure enough thats what it is.
    I can't find anything about the 52.70 version on the main MSI site, only through the MSI live update.
    Maybe Nvidia is giving it out to the manufactures first?
    Anyway it looks great on a short test of BF1942.

    52.70 incoming?
    You say you tested with BF. So no more missing geometrie & textures
    in Gazala & El Alamein??

    Would be great. Hopefully they deliver the qualtity of the 45.33 & the
    performance of the 52.16. Can't wait to get my fingers on those.

    Also running a MSI 5900U and have MSI Monitor loaded (but I hardly ever check it).

    I´m not using and MSI board, but i installed live update and searched the driver, it´s a full install, comes with setup.exe, and looks nvidia generic (for all nvidias) also, in the live update site says its a nvidia version, There are 2 files (MSIsetup.exe & MSIsetup.ini) these two files are a shortcurt to run setup.exe. :p, i deleted those :)

    downloaded into a folder and voila. ;)

    i hope someone will up the driver to an http. ;)

    I'll see about downloading it, stripping it off the msi crap and 7-zipping it up and "attempting" to upload it to my webspace, I'll add the basic tweaks to it too, but I have to go now so I'll try to get it done later :D

    Okay, I've just virus checked and installed the drivers with a GeForce FX 5900 Ultra and they work just fine. I'm doing a few more checks and expect the release within half an hour on our file-server.

    Here you go gentlemen, this set is looking good ! Cooling fan issues are gone for me. Temp in idle is about 40 Degrees C which is quite normal for the 5900 Ultra. It can have 120-140 degrees C, well ... that's what the driver properties state.

    What's the punk buster issue? All the 52.xx drivers series cause my computer to do a hard lock shortly after getting into a game of ET. I'm running a Ti-500.

    Just tried them....temp still jumps 14C, and the fan issue is unresolved.
