I'm running 177.79 betas. Will this support physix and work with this demo?

That's also not the new PhysX. 8.08.01 is the official release.

Oh really? Nice to hear that rubysoul. I look in at my add/remover programs in vista and found the physx driver version is 8.08.01. This came bundle with the new whql 177.83. Do you think is low, but I don't care. You know the physics drivers are new and still not mature. Also I'm using SLI and the video card has to to physics and render at the same time. That's why is better to get separated video card like a 8800gt or 9600gt for ppu only.

Can you tell me or give suggestions what settings to change that can increase my score? ALl other games play much better with the new .83 drivers including Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War no more shuttering, COD4 really nice and so other games as well.

If nurien is a Social Game like Second life, i can imagine where the framerates goes with 10-20 avatars on screen. If 3 already gives you that low score.

Time for some thread necromancy... has anyone figured out how to change the resolution? I started going through all the demos for fun and this one just looks awkward at whatever res it is. In the old demos it was simple enough changing settings, just go through the text files until you run what settings you're looking for and with caveman level programming knowledge you can change the settings around... but with this demo the files seem to be in Japanese :3eyes:

Well I guess that's one way... thanks. I don't know how I managed to miss it before.

    Forgot to post my result:

Hello! Here are results for my system:

    Average: 32
    Max: 47
    Min: 24

Also I have only 13881 scores in 3d Mark 06...I saw many another results for like system - more 15000 scores. What problem it is? (Sorry for my bad English) Can it be problem with powering of videocard or motheboard? When I constructed my system there were one problem: PSU did not have one of 24 pins in 24-pin connector. System works but not so good as i want :)

p.s. RAM is 2x2 Gb kingston HyperX PC6400 5-5-5-15. Everest shows latency 82 ns :(

I've got my GTX280, and my Intel QX9770 running at 4.0Ghz, with the ASUS Striker II Extreme motherboard, and 1800Mhz OCZ SLI Ready memory.
Has anyone else got these same....modest results?

wow, thats some dangerously high vcore you need for 4Ghz, my old Q9550 needed 1.26v for a 4Ghz OC.

Actually 1,42 is good, I have mine at 4 ghz also and it shows a little more power 1.432. I can't go higher because I can cool it, but I try even at 4,4 ghz but not stable at all, only get to the desktop. Anyway this is my result
    [IMG]

Very close to nihonjin_dewana, because of similar hardware but the strange is max FPS from 123 to 216. Also I have an SLI of gtx 280 and my memory are running at 2000 ocz platinum.

I just run it again, with the custom options of BendakBR but at 1920x1200 and it gives me 71 fps average, so I guess this doesn't scale well with cpu or with sli.

    Say hello from the future:

    Nurien.exe -RESx=2048 -ResY=1152 -AllowD3D10=True -EnableHighPolyChars=True -MaxAnisotropy=16 -MaxMultisamples=1 -LensFlares=True -MotionBlur=True -Bloom=True -QualityBloom=True -DetailMode=4 -UseVsync=False

    Without Relive:
    average FPS - 102.05
    max FPS - 189.70
    min FPS - 53.459

This Demo not intended to run on AMD GPU with good FPS.

Dead technology and old demo. It is hard to find another one with physx.
