Gah, I'm in the poor-fair range and it might be cloudy. I'll see if I see anything though, thanks man!

I'm in the absolutely no chance zone :D.

Apparently a couple of hundred years ago the southern aurora was visible near the equator, if that happened now it would fry most things electric. Only hope would be emergency disconnect of grid systems and disconnecting all appliances, although satellites would still be screwed, and you would probably have to go back to paper maps for a while lol.

They are pretty neat to watch I have seen them a few times in Northern Ontario,Canada on very clear nights. That was 40 years ago so I'm not sure that is still possible.

I would love to see these live sometime in my life, but it's all clouds and rain here today (as well as being in the poor zone). I'll go play some Skyrim and oggle the night skies there instead. :bounce:

Every time there is something cool happening like an eclipse or meteor shower, it's cloudy here. And again, I'm in the poor region. Thanks, Michigan.

I see this very often (at times, ever clear night) during the winter months here. It's really neat, but I guess I'm too used to it to get completely awestruck. Anyway, enjoy it. It's a pretty sight for sure.

I had heard possible visibility through the weekend. I am right in the Seattle area and did not see anything last night and it was perfectly clear. I stayed up until about 12:15am and then woke up again at about 2:30am to see if there was anything and I didn't see anything.

Do you normally have to just look up, or are they typically visible closer to the horizon?

It is like 70 and totally clear again today so I'll have to look again.

No clouds here (NEUK) almost a full moon too, but no lights that I can see, just street lights and takeaway shop lights

It's probably best visible if you can at least see the Milky Way?...
