There are no differences between taiwan and china made fans, only slight visual differences which are well within manufacturing tolerances.

    Fans perform equally.

Me too, i bought 2x 140mm pressure version for H90 and was surprised its not soo silent, I noticed humming noise too.. even at 1000rpm and at that rpm it didnt move much air through rad., Had worse temps then with my current p/p akasa viper fans at same speed.. noise was somewhat the same at 1000rpm. Maybe a tiny bit lower but with extra humming..

4 years in development? 5 years ago i did this in less than a day. It has two 360mm radiators in the back connected in parallel.

And still working silent to this day without any issues.

Will wait on reviews, but will be buying one pair of them just for testing

If they perform at least as Scythe Gentle Typhoon which I think have patented this design and their patents deceased I think last year or year before then I will be happy

Their colour is not for everyone, camo scheme is not for everyone that's for sure, used recently their NF-F12 on PE360 radiator and there at max have nice sound, which I cannot say about the ML120 or EK Vardar

Using their fans on AIO or CLC is not worth it as they don't perform there as should, just due simple reason as AIO or CLC using aluminium radiator and therefore you need really high pressure and fast fans due this usually you will find on AIO 2400-2500RPM fans quite often

But agree there are several good fans on market which are cheaper or quieter than Noctua

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

What's with 120mm in Fractal case? I assume we are not talking mini-itx case. Why not use 140mm fans?

Noctua A14 fans are perhaps not top dogs, but they are not that bad. And they are certainly much better than Fractal's stock 140mm, perf/db wise. (which themselves are not terrible if you keep them at minimum speed)
I switched to PH-F140TS/MP fans with rotation reducers, and they completely own Fractal stock fans.

Could be that you guys are doing something wrong if you need 1000 RPM for case fans ;)

Makes you wonder how much can you do to a fan. I mean its a freaking fan, do you expect to reinvent the wheel? I bet theres alternatives just has good. Why so much time to develop a fan? Will it make me dinner? Im not saying they´re not good, they might just be excellent, but i think companies sometimes just overhype things to no extent. Its a fan!

Did they also tested these fans in different temperature environments, like when its getting hotter or colder because 0.5mm can touch the outer plastic itself when the fan it self will go bigger duo to lifespan and temperature difference.

I value low-noise just as much as performance. And when you start going down the minimum-noise road, every Watt and every dB saved matters. Because you get more headroom for high-performance regimes.

Here's a technical description of these new a12x25. There are many isses that had to be solved, like impeller creep:

Maybe i'm a nerd but reading about how much thought/tech they had to come up with to make a fan like 2% better just makes me want to buy it more. Thanks for posting this.

It's their business. What are they supposed to be doing? In PC tech you need to be bringing something new to the market every now and then or you risk losing market. Even if it's not really anything truly novel but just new designs, names, and such.

Optimal airflow at a given decibel, and motor design are things they could have spent a bit of time on... materials used in building it also, not only for the products life span but for profit, how much does it cost to build, but this is just a guess on my part.

I can't help but think a lot of people think of fans in PC's as not very important, but when you think about it, they are one of the most important parts inside a PC.

Can Noctua tease any colours that aren't from a 90 year old man's Oldsmobile? Seriously if I'm going to pay $100 pre-tax for a slab of metal with a piece of plastic on it, that piece of plastic better be pretty... and have blackjack... and hookers.

And I know they released colour kits, they were lame and overpriced. The default option and 99.99% of the stock shouldn't be "man older than your grandfather's favourite car colours". They remind me of Blackberry, stubborn and outdated to the bitter end.

A lot of people care. Their PCs are like a piece of art on display. Even my ugly PC brightens up my room and IMO is somewhat like a piece of artwork.

Their main business is PC hardware but they also develop high quality fans for industrial applications as you can see here: https://noctua.at/en/industrial-applications

So maybe all this effort is necessary/profitable for them in the long run.

Regarding the color scheme, personally i don´t mind the fans being brown but i thought that they announced more color options for their fans, i´m wrong?

i still dont get it what the hell does it matter what color they are? do you use your computer? or stare at it insides? for same reason why I dont care for glass panels in my cases, all it need is good air flow, and it not cramped in side. I really dont get the is cosmetic fade people have.

Does all these fancy colors leds and multi color fans and glass side panels make your pc run faster and make you think it does? Functionality over looks anyday of the year

Personal I DESPISE lights where there dont need to be lights as such, I have NO led lights anywhere inside my case no glass panel, only light coming off my case it power led, my KB might led lights but I turn then off quiet lot when I not using my PC in dark room. maybe this why i never got, but LED lights on RAM kits is struely stupid imo.

Anywho I gona keep eye out of reviews on this, my OCD demand all my fans in my PC that are case fans are all the same brand and same speed and currently they are not, but seeing how cool my cpu runs even under loader it was never priority change

You really come across as an asshat in most of your posts.

Just because you don't like the color doesn't mean someone else who does is "ignorant and bland/boring"
