There will probably be streams popping up soon..
I'm pretty sure there is still a decent amount of planned creation for the different systems in the game. I mean... yea, it IS a procedurally generated game, but only to an extent. The planets have to be discovered... and when they are, it says whoever discovered it. It kinda seems like the locations and ecosystems of the planets was somehow planned and calculated, and they let the game engine take it from there.
Are you going to be able to fast travel to previously explored planets? Or do you have to find them again.
I'd love to be able to develop clones, leave them on the planet to colonize, come back a week later and see a sprawling settlement. Come back a month later and see that a band of clones revolted, started their own colony and declared war on the original settlement.
With only 6gb of game it seems that assets will be severely limited so you will see a lot of repetition in environments and creatures.
Because Steam still didnt change that..its also still asying 10.08. for me.

Yep, i guess you're right.
Are all explorable planets said to be procedurally generated with the same 6GB worth of random assets? Or are there different tiers of explorable planets - some that get the total random treatment, some that are specifically designed and populated, and maybe some that are milestone planets that will only be discovered once and perhaps open new options?
Hmm... interest building...
Planets will be different depending on how far away from the star they are, for example a planet that is close to the star will be hot, and a planet that is far will be cold, Not all planets will have life.
I wonder what is at the center of the universe, I guess that isn't procedural.
That's why we should arrange a meeting there soon, guru3d camp or something
I'm glad i haven't watched many if any major gameplay footage of this game.
Can't wait to jump in.
For those who don't know what No Man's Sky is, this explains it a bit better than those new short little video's.... it explains how procedural generation works in NMS, it's quite interesting.
It doesn't hurt watching this, i'll take a look.
EDIT: Sean is quiet a odd fella lol.
I just hope we won't see so much texture popping on PC, since almost every video shows them, especially when flying around.
Lot's of texture clipping :s I might grab the game, it's a new concept, looks interesting.
great interview btw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-kifCYToAU
Sean Murray is a cool guy to listen to.
I guess I will jump on the wagon and get it over with. Anybody found a good price on a keyseller site probably?
My body is ready!
Ive seen so much of this unreleased game, i feel like ive played it back to front already.
both my body and soul are ready
I used to do this all the time, i've quit watching any gameplay from popular games.
And when they release i'm not interested anymore in them cause i watched too much of the game.
pEOPLE ALREADY PLAYING IT ON PS4 FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
No surprise there. Most overhyped games get leaked or released early.
It's not people, it's one guy mate
