This statement proves that majority of Japanese devs still don't get how PC works at all. They probably just do clear divisions/multiplications on 16ms delta times to support 30/60/120 FPS and that's their idea of technological improvement but presenting those frames at 144Hz while you only have 120 frames rendered at best would be horrible uneven framepacing on screen and most likely large amounts of screen tearing. Only alternative would be VRR monitors or outright locking your refresh rate to 120 to match the framerate game outputs but neither of those at that point is 144 lol. Why even make such statement, it's like trying to appeal to PC crowd without having any understanding of fundamentals. Other than that - cool, i'm happy it's coming and i'll buy it. But man, just say you have 120FPS mode and don't pretend you do more than you can, KT.
On top of this, Nioh 1 is getting PS5 specific upgrade: https://blog.playstation.com/2020/1...ion-announced-for-ps5-launches-next-february/ Place your bets whether PC version will also be getting those.
Higher resolution display and higher framerate support which I think the PC version has but Koei Tecmo...being Koei Tecmo I don't know how well it works although Nioh despite Koei Tecmo actually ended with a fairly solid PC port after a few patches although since K.T is how it is their later ports keep going back and forth between support for mouse input, 2560x1440 as a viable supported display resolution and framerate at 30 maybe 60 ha ha. New helmet too but eh it's a bit much compared to the Nioh 1 Steam / Valve one. EDIT: Liked the game despite some rough edges and being a PC port from Koei but it was supported fairly well which was nice to see, hoping things will end up well here too with the studios former experiences from the first game but well it's still Koei Tecmo so anything can happen.
