Not sure if I should but it here but: It seems some games like Quake 4 auto detect my ASUS A8N-Deluexe soundchip and not my SBA 2 Audigy ZS. How do I stop this? Do I uninstall the driver or what? FUnny thing is, speakers are pluged into the Soundcard aand they work. Windows sound options selects the SB and it works. It just kinda bugs me cause I think thats why HD sound won't enable in some games like DOOM 3. It works in Quake 4 though.
go in the eax settings of your audigy and disable any special effect/environment or whatever you have choosen. had the same problem. i was running "Pop" and disabling it - made the ingame sounds +musik work
These drivers are great. I can finally use the Nvidia SATA driver. Really nice. I highly reccomend these.
What's the best way of upgrading with these drivers? Install them over my current drivers (6.65)??? Because if i uninstall my current drivers, my raid array may not be recognized anymore.
I don't have a raid array so I just installed over them. Isn't the raid array controlled through the bios anyway?
it is ok to uninstall them through control panel/software, it is also ok to use driver cleaner to clean the nforce driver only, but DONT clean nforce sata/raid. i just did and had to re-install a backup i made after a fresh windows install
If you are trying to remove them you should 1st unistall via ad/remove programs and then restart into safe mode and use DC. That is what I do and have never had an issue.
