nForce 15.17 Vista 32&64bit XP 32 & 64Bit

NVIDIA's released a new NFORCE Driver, for the whole nforce motherboard series.


The new revision build is Version: 15.17 with a release date of June 9, 2008. The included binaries are:

• Ethernet Driver (v67.80) WHQL
• SATAIDE Driver (v10.3.0.21) WHQL
• SATARAID Driver (v10.3.0.21) WHQL
• RAIDTOOL Application (v10.3.0.21)
• SMU Driver (v1.45) WHQL
• SMBus Driver (v4.64) WHQL
• Installer (v5.93)

these were released months ago. I have had them installed on my 2nd rig, which has 680i SLI mobo, for around 3 months.

 

i have 5.01 installed right now what the best way to install the new version

is it

Run Uninstaller
boot into safe mode run Driver sweeper
boot into Vista Run new Installer


Never updated Nvidia nForce Files before (only graphics)

I'm always slow with the chipset drivers, only discovered the 9.64's a few weeks ago !!!

Wonder what these will do for my 680i (soon to be replaced with p45 !!)

 

Just installed em, there is a new option in IDE controller for Acoustic management.

 

No problems with installing them on my 680i. Don't really know what to expect from it. But I guess It's better to have the newest installed

 

Indeed anyone noticed something in preformance?

 

Got a p5n32 sli s/e (nf4). Will they work ok for this board? Seems that most of the posts are for the newer verisons.

 

It seems to work alright on my nF4-motherboard running XP64, so i am sure i will work on yours as well.

BSOD on boot when enabled for me...

Any ideas why (left value at 255)?

 

Dunno, but will not play with it now dont want BSOD

 

It was no big deal. Just loaded last good config at boot and all was well.

Will try a value of 254 tomorrow and see if that works.

 

I'm on 18.07 for quite a while now. Is it a good idea to change to these 15.17?

Everything works okidokey here, so no need, really.

 

Does anyone know why they release these nforce drivers? I mean I know there for my motherboard but what do they do excatly and how do they improve it? Also, when I installed these it asked for me to install a network access manager.. I clicked not to install it. Does anyone know what this is and what its used for? Did I goof by not installing it? Please advise.

Running great so far, NVIDIA nForce System Management was updated in this set, dated

1/17/08 version 4.6.4.0

New eithernet driver working well also, Teaming is doing well.

The Networking Management allows you to take advantage of your dual ethernet, to speed your bandwidth up, making it more stable, Also if one port were to fail for w/e reason, your 2nd port would take over and let info flow.

Install Nforce System Tools 6.10 from this site to set it up. Pretty easy.

 

Can't get the raid drivers to install. Says something about doing an F6 install. Anybody know how to do this? Back to the 8.86 till then. :bang:

I did the same, windows stopped recognizing the hdds. Any hints on this one?

 

If your running raid and xp syas somthing about using the x command and the F6 install method. I'm waiting for someone to help also. :bang:
