    30 fps in unplayable.
60 fps is the bare minimum to play a game in 2021

For some people yes and that's their choice. Personally, I can play this style of game at 30+ no probs.

For reflex/twitch shooters I absolutely need high framerates but honestly, this is one of the great selling points of PC gaming. You can customise your own experience.

I don't subscribe to the "everything must be over xxxfps" to enjoy a game. I look at it on a game to game basis.

IMAGE COMPARISON & ANALYSIS TOOL (ICAT)
The Image Comparison & Analysis Tool (ICAT) is an application which allows you to make image quality comparisons with speed and ease. With ICAT, you don’t need to load professional editing software for video and image comparisons.

Simply load up to four videos and images at a time into ICAT, then you can align, trim, create loops, pan and zoom into areas of focus, and adjust video playback speed to get that perfect comparison.

ICAT works with JPEG, PNG, or WEBP image formats and MP4 or WEBM video formats.

DLSS can be used together with NIS guys, I just tried out some games and the results are very interesting

DLAA + NIS UQ (85% render scale) might look better than DLSS Quality in term of image stability, and possibly less ghosting too (need verification later)

DLSS 2.3 comes to Farming Simulator 22 on November 22nd when the game launches.
That makes 131 games total :p

    it's a spatial upscaler.
same crap as fsr, only with better sharpening filter.
I tried it for a while and hated it immediately.

yes,it is an fsr killer since it works in every game, but really, who cares about spatial upscalers.

    meanwhile,senua EE looks fantastic
3060ti+dlss or 6800+fsr (yeah,I know) should run over 60fps for the most part with dips into mid-50s

It is not clear what version is better for games with 2.1.* versions - 2.2.* or 2.3.*

Try 2.2.11/2.2.6 when you find smearing with 2.3.x too obtrusive.

    OK.
    With 2.3.*:
I see no artifacts in Cyberpunk 2077 at all.
And in Metro Exodus I noticed only trails of some moving objects (birds, mutants, characters).

    great article
    NIS/FSR sucks,DLSS kicks major ass.

this is absolutely incredible and it's something that fsr advocates will never understand unless they try dlss for themselves.the image stability is on another level, there's no shimmer or flicker at all.
pair this with nvidia's sharpen+ filter set to boost detail quality and the amount of stuff you're able to actually pick up in motion is just ridiculous compared to native, not to mention fsr/nis
native/nis look like there's an earthquake here.

NIS has a few drawbacks, because it's implemented on the driver level, and not it game.
One is the problem with the UI being drawn at the base resolution and then scaled up by NIS.
The other is about Mipmap levels. Because it's rendering at a lower base resolution, it will load lower quality mipmaps
This issue also happens in some games with DLSS.
But can be addressed with NV Inspector.

  19. Nothing new. Temporal stability is one of the most important metrics for all AA methods. Spatial upscalers will never come even close to any temporal AA in terms of temporal stability.

Also, DLSS (as every temporal AA) has other temporal artifacts like ghosting or trailing.

Hitman III will have Ray Tracing in 2022....

    As IO Interactive stated:

“Together with our partners at Intel, we’re committed to bringing the best possible performance and optimization to our PC players.
HITMAN 3 has already been enhanced on PC with support for 8+ core CPUs and Variable Rate Shading. In 2022, HITMAN 3 will also support Ray Tracing on PC.”
