Whats your budget ?
It's a rolling budget that depends on my monthly paycheck.... I figure if I buy a part or 2 each month..... But let's say $600 overall??
And here comes the Ivy Bridge. Lol
Saw an Intel 320 ssd 120gb model# ssdsa2cw120g3b5 for $170 down from $220 at best buy. Is this a good deal?
Forgot to mention that I have $30 in best buy points which would drop it down to $150 after tax.
Also picked up a seasonic 760 psu 80 plus gold fully modular. Any thoughts on this guy?
So I installed the Seasonic 760 on my main rig and the antec 850 has moved to the the Helios rig which is in the living room. I am still undecided as to what mobo, and if I should wait for Ivy Bridge to come out. thoughts??
This would have been the type of build I would have looked at... 4 years ago. e8400 is past its prime. You should be looking at quads by now.
edit: never mind. necro thread.
So with Ivy Bridge out today, I am looking to do so? Either upgrades.
Intel 3570k paird with the Asus P8-Z77 Pro mobile.
Microcenter has the 3570k for $189 and the Asus mobo for $220, but with a $50 instant rebate.
Looking for 16gb of ram but don't see any good deals on that front microcenter.
i see all of you saying "Microcenter" but where can i find that in/around belgium?
note: i know this could be a very very stupid question.
In microcenter now!
Holy crap, this thread never dies eh? lol
You won't find MicroCenter outside of the US afaik....
which is quite unfortunate since that's where all the good Intel deals are lol
Finally made the plunge. Just bought the Intel 3570k for $189, the Asus P8 Z77 Pro motherboard for $169, and corsair vengeance (cmz16gx3m4a1600c9b) ram 4x4 = 16gb for $100. Total was $501 including tax.
Nice Good decision I think. Enjoy.
Is it true that the days of cheap ram are over?
Thoughts on this Samsung ram?
IMO, if you can buy 16gb for $100.00, the days of cheap ram lives on.
lol ya, I got 16 GB DDR3-1600 for $84.99 lol:
Prices in Canadian Dollars.
It sucks that you can buy things for 180dollar in a microcenter but we have to pay 230 euro for the same thing.
