installed, restarted vista vista doesn't boot anymore. OMG i hate this os switched back to xp on my laptop.... thx microsoft! -.-"
my pc didn't even boot in safe mode lol had to reinstall vista, backup everything, format hdd and install xp no more vista on my pc... i'll wait for sp1
Same here, didnt boot even in safe.. Looks like it haltet when trying to load "crcdisk.sys", if i remember that filname right.. Finally got the damn thing to boot after i turned off AHCI and run the satadisk in IDE mode.. Rebootet and turned all settings back as it was before, and now everything works just fine again..
Oh yes, I have the exact same bootup problem. Had to user Vista setup repair to get previous restore point loaded and system working again. And yes, I'm running my HDD's in AHCI mode using MS AHCI driver (which seems to be updated in the update). Viperid, did you change AHCI to IDE in BIOS right after Vista refused to boot? Then it booted right? How can this be? I mean if AHCI drivers were loaded before the update, be those Intel matrix drivers or MS standand AHCI, how can Vista suddenly boot up with disks set to IDE mode in BIOS...
new vista updates These updates should fix a few of vista's bugs and glitches. Here is the link to the page.http://www.pcdoctor-guide.com/wordpress/?p=4557 The first update for Windows Vista (KB941649 ) (download x86 ) (download x64 ) is a compatibility and reliability update targeted towards but not limited to hardware scenarios. The next update for Windows Vista (KB941600 ) (download x86 ) (download x64 ) is a cumulative patch entirely dedicated to USB problems, which might sound silly, but considering how prevalent USB devices has become, I expect everyone has experienced at least one of the symptoms described. The third patch for Vista (KB941651 ) (download x86 ) (download x64 ) updates Windows Media Player 11 . Since the knowledge base article is not currently available, it’s not certain exactly what was fixed except what the description describes as reliability improvements. The last but not least patch for Vista (KB941229 ) (download x86 ) (download x64 ) is a regular cumulative Windows Media Center rollup for the month of October. It's pretty clear that Microsoft is getting serious about fixing Vista issues, and this means that things are going to get a lot better for those who have adopted the new OS.
l don't know what you guys are going on about, in regards to this update, l installed it on a fresh install of vista 64bit, and restarted fine, and have gone back into windows nicely, all l can say it user error loli loli
Well, you folks who have this working, are you using your disk drives in AHCI mode / RAID / Legacy IDE? And if AHCI/Raid then what drivers you use(like intel matrix storage drivers for example)?
Same error for me. And now Team Fortress 2 stutters like hell, might not be related but I think so. And I dont seem to be able to uninstall it. Just great.
just great, installed the updates. now my games runs with 2-5 fps.. any way to uninstall these updates?
