About time they are doing software. Nvidia had massive lead partly because they do software

Sad and disgusting. Tbh if 8000 series GPU doubles my 6800 I'll get it most likely no matter what Nvidia delivers because I enjoy gui of radeon

To each their own. Most prefer visual fidelity, features and performance since at least for gamers during game play hardware software gui is the least important thing.

It's a great flagship card, nothing to be sad about.

Also I think most ppl play games and don't spend a whole lot of time in the GUI.

But I guess AMD fans take solace wherever they can find it.

I prefer my cards actually working. I've had 2 cards ever fail on me, both for memory issues, and both were NV solutions by 2 different companies. My NVIDIA / Intel laptop also failed on me.

My 2 AMD desk cards still work, and my AMD laptop works. So no, I will never, ever buy anything from NVIDIA again, or even use if it was given to me for free. And I find visual fidelity on my AMD solutions to be excellent. As opposed to the GTX1070 and it's fake, oversaturated HDR desktop mode. And if you have a laptop and want to manually upgrade your panel to something better? If it's not whitelisted in BIOS for GSync support, it won't work with it, even if the hardware is capable. Because of NVIDIA licensing to enable the feature. (AMD does not do this)

Go ahead, I dare you to try and tell me that it's just an unfortunate fluke.

On a side note, the two NV cards that STILL work are the BFG GTX285 x2, and a GT240.

Nah it's sad how the prices have developed GPU is good but stupid.

But tbh lately I spend more time in gui then games since no time for gaming.

No need to take solace in anything. I just don't see the point in over 1000€ GPU really. Last Nvidia I bought was shite 3060 ti, my 980 ti died while gaming, 7800 gtx before that also went and died.

Almost killed my 4870 Radeon with a vacuum but that I soldered together. So far my luck with AMD/ATI has been better no dead GPUs. With Nvidia 5 dead first one to die 4200ti then 5950 ultra, 7800 gtx, 980ti and then 2060.

Now haven't wanted to buy each gen of radeon either for good reason stupid prices like 7900xt and xtx when they came out.

And obviously other people have their experiences. Also dreaded driver issues I've avoided always be it with either manufacturer.

Visual fidelity is just fine on either. Performance too, features Nvidia sure takes the cake but not worth 2x more in price to me.

Yes. I traded my 3060 ti for 6800 xt best deal ever. Way better card.

lol 6800xt is better than a 3080 these days but some nvidia fanboys just cannot admit it.

    Nice trade.

Reviews usually tell the story regarding visual fidelity, performance and features. It all depends on what your preferences are and what you are willing to accept based on product capabilities. My preference is gaming with RT and Path tracing (maxed settings or close), yours might be rasterization and you buy based on that. As long as you enjoy your experience is all that matters. I will throughly enjoy my choice for quite some time to come.

No doubt and that is good that you do :) for me indeed RT and PT are not a thing right now at all. None of the games I play require such things currently. Sure I've tried RT with my 6800XT on few games it works well enough in them, but I also know cyberpunk 2077 is a no go, go that game when it released and it played like horrible along with being relatively meh in the beginning, maybe one day again but not now for sure.

But still all should enjoy what they have.

Maybe it will be. Since AMD has been building up their software side finally. So they might offer help around.
