He said furyx/pro/nano can be had for 350. a fury x is 500. fury at around 350 is a decent deal, fury x at 500 is not, and you can get cheaper 1070s than 500.

Obviously I wasn't very clear either because the point was supposed to be Fury/Nano pricing and sweet spot for it relative to other cards.

Like PrMinisterGR posted it fills a hole currently if it costs <350 €. There's no doubt that they feel a little pressure for lowering the prices because competitor's prices are starting to come down too.

It doesn't look like there's anything happening this year for AMD so that's their answer to fill that ~350 € area. (That being said only Nano goes for 349 € here, the rest are over 525 €).

If your post was removed it was only because it mentioned Nvidia. I tried before to remove only the trolly posts but then the trolling continued because any other posts mentioning Nvidia were quoted in order to carry on the argument.

So you're telling us that you both say the same thing? I don't get the big, bold, pink letters and the pictures after them. Most of us know what a 480 is, we don't need the marketing material with every post. The Fury X is not a good deal, yes. Even Onna bought a Fury (non X), which is a good deal. So more or less the order of GPUs that a sane person can get is 460<470<480/1060<Fury<1070<1080. Right? Is there a fight over something?

Nah, at this point there is no meaning not to get the 1070.

Newegg has a XFX Fury X for $380. Not a bad price but buying 4GB now don't seem wise.

Careful some one may report you for mentioning that.

Mine was remover for informing someone Onna is not a native English speaker.

If they do, and any mod actually gives me trouble for that, then this forum is done. And I don't believe that's the case. Being obnoxious is very different from disagreeing with something. And that Fury X for $380 is a very good deal indeed, but the Gigabyte 1070 at $399 really makes it obsolete.

Still, the Fury non X is probably one of the best deals around. It destroys the 1060 (which is its actuall opponent in that price range), while being only $10-$50 more expensive. I wrote it elsewhere, but the order of purchase seems to be:

    460 < 470 < 480 / 1060 (I'm still not sure about the 1060 in the long run, not sure at all) < Fury < 1070 < 1080 < Madness.

    1st half 2017
    same as the ZEN
a little late BUT it means they release pretty much a whole brand new platform all at the same time which makes wicked sense to me.
if you are going to upgrade a lot of people will change the entire setup so offering the whole thing at once makes sense.
i for one will throw this machine at someone in my house and build an all new one from scratch with all AMD gear :)
