From all I have seen Vega/RDNA1 has to do it hard way. Vega has good compute potential and if AMD manages some driver level magic for proper scheduling, it may not be worst.
But I expect that RDNA2 will smash Vega in this like a bug. Especially in terms of completed operations per Watt-hour. (energy efficiency)
As there RDNA2 should have much higher potential in similar TDP limit.

A review by Benchmark.pl was published prematurely.
AMD Radeon RX 5700 series review leaked ahead of the embargo lift

As you might know, Radeon RX 5700 series reviews will be available on July 7th, alongside AMD Ryzen 3000 series and X570 motherboards. Quite a day for tech enthusiasts and a lot of work for reviewers. A review was published by accident by a Polish site called Benchmark.
The review was conducted with early drivers, as explained in the screenshot below. Apparently, these drivers do not even support overclocking. Hence, the results may not correspond to the final performance.

Performance is very close to rtx super cards with no official drivers.

Also i like that power consumtion.

RDNA 1 looks to be shaping up to be a beast. Can't wait to see how 5900 series fares.

I can confirm that FidelityFX Technology working OK in RAGE 2.
With TAA image looks more sharp, we don't have Reshade in VLK so it is cool feat.

    History:
    29.48m Things gets interesting ;)

    So we have GPU stagnation?
+10FPS for 2 Years period? (Like +5% at intel CPU with +10% Price hikes)
Still no 120Hz 2k Gaming in 2019? (across the board with AC at stagering 65FPS lol)

IMO it's not the case, because of ATI fall behing nV after Maxwell and later on.
But something is really off with this pricing.

I am at 7~10 minutes: Class action lawsuit... price fixing of ATi & nVidia... Did not work so well for ATi and they went under. They should have colluded to have even higher prices...
~17 minutes collusion by postponing releases at time of introducing PCIe 1.0 GPUs? Rly? I had AGP based X800. But that thing was not native AGP card, it has PCIe-to-AGP bridge chip. And this chip was heating up like crazy.
In other words Cards either needed native PCIe = delay, or needed bridge chip that clearly had issues even upon release of cards. That's actually very good reason for delay.

Why nVidia delayed their cards, I have no idea. But someone here will know better than youtuber who did not even used PC at the time.

~22 minutes, he mentions that par of collusion is same 256MB VRAM and same PCIe x16 !!! :D
And right after GF 7950 GT is supposedly identical to X1950 Pro. (There is not identical GPU from one side to another within that generation at all.) Dude is like same VRAM, same GPU.

In the end, worst part is that he attempts to compare price development of CPUs and GPUs, but does not even look at die sizes, manufacturing node or transistor count.
He clearly did not ask himself: "What would be intel's asking price for 18B transistor CPU?"

Some Guy at Eurogamer posted this ;)
Im somewhat confused but this, but after some thinking im 90% sure it's not the case.
Because of ATI is far behind nV and they don't have Titan class GPU with fixed 1000€ price tag (or x2 CF one)
All in all, we can't pay 400-500€ for Mid/low end ! that's for sure.

    IMO good prices (for everyone)

    Hi-end (like Vega64) Up to 500-650€
    Lower Hi-end (like Vega56) 400-500€
    Mid-end (Polaris/x60) up to 299€
    Low-end (like 570 etc) up to 199€

They still have to make money. Even person in video stated that ATi was in red numbers for years while delivering competitive prices and nVidia was down to 0 too.
How long could that go on before one or both of them would go bankrupt?

Surely, if both cut off AIBs and shops, they could be more competitive while making same profits. But neither of them want it.

Generally i don't have a problem with 500-699€ GPU at all.
But Mid/Low End must be affordable or the Stagnation begins....

Please find me GPU to play with 120-144Hz (at Ulta 4xMSAA) :p

IMO Navi is good step forward, 250mm2 chip at Vega XTX/1080Ti level of performance.
Hek, i can say that ATI outmatched Nv this time around :D
Next Gen will be awesome, i can't wait for Arcturus....

Q2 2020 is far away. Vega users can wait but Polaris users are already looking for an upgrade. Even a rx 5700non xt is a massive jump from a 480/580. I dont think we can wait.
