havent seen it yet, only heard about it. but like bugsy said, we're comparing products that you can actually buy. the radeon 2 probably will be better than the gf3 but thats the nature of competition. nvidia wont lie down and do nothing.

What? That's no good, only battled with the GF3? I hope you're mistaken because I really don't want one company to rule the upper echelon very long. It causes way too much complacency. Someone needs to beat the GF3 to keep NVidia on its toes and keep a good selection of highend video cards to us consumers

  4. hahaha and the Radeon II is meant to DESTROY the GeForce 3? looking at the benchmarks the GeForce 3 beats the Radeon II in 4 of the tests and the Radeon beats the GeForce in 2...Personally i think the GeForce 3 comes out on top and even if it doesnt in the end the GeForce 3 MX or whatever comes out will crush it.

They don't care about image quality...all they want is to run Q3 over 100fps....anything less is a travesty

I don't care about playing a game over 100fps...I want to play a game that looks awesome..and if that means I have to play it a 70 or 80 fps..so be it..it'll be worth it

Have you ever compared the 2? My friends Radeon 32MB DDR doesn't look any better than my card. I actually felt like mine looked better in many games. I've never had any of those display problems they list in the reviews. They are always testing with early drivers. Difference is, Nvidia writes new drivers. ATi sits around and and tells you too bad if something doesn't work well. Image quality is way too subjective an issue anyway. You act like the NVidia cards are just showing wireframe or something

Funny how you call anyone who says anything positive about an NVidia card an NVidia zealot, but yet you yourself have no experience with one, and blindly praise the Radeon left and right. Maybe if you researched a little more and tried a few different things you could provide some meaningful information rather than "my card is better than your card " . Yes the Radeon is a nice card, no, it does not rule all. Explain benefits, and advantages/disadvantages vs. other cards. You could appear much more credible on this site if you didn't always resort to such petty nonsense.

thats a pretty broad statement if u ask me. the gf3 was meant to combine both image quality and performance. if you havent seen or used one yet, why talk bad about the card and/or the people that use them?
how bout between a geforce 2 pro 64 and the radeon 64?

  16. you know....i've tried both cards (Radeon and GeForce) and why does everyone keep saying the image quality is so much better on the Radeon? i would have to differ judging my image quality i thought the GeForce edged it. I have no problems with the Radeon its a good card but all you ATI fans think that people who prefer Nvidia just jump aboard some bandwagon....well actually if you check these forums out you'll see there are many more threads with ATI fans saying how there card smashes a Nvidia card. You check the Nvidia forums and you'll see less of this kinda crap, so for ****s sake practice what you preach.

hey, this is the ati section, you don't get facts here, just allusions that claim to a superior image or performance.
Don't ask for benchmarks, and don't ask for head to head tests.

I'm only giving my opinion..based upon my experiences and I'm actually glad to see NVIDIA and ATI goin' head to head like never before. I don't hate NVIDIA...I just perfer ATI over them...I've used cards on both sides and never had a bad experience. The GF3 and RADEON both have good and bad features

The Radeon has poor 16 bit coloring...the GF3 doesn't have this problem

I notice that the Radeon has slightly better image quality over the GF3.

This is of course my opinion based upon my experiences on both sides
Well the thing is i like watching DVD on my PC. GeForce 2 ultra had the worst i seen yet. Try running a software dvd programs *Software Blows*. Well then i got a Radeon and i loved it. Hardware DVD is the the name of game. Well i also dont play any game in 16bit any old ones. When it came down to the final choice i sold my OCZ Titan2 GeForce2 Ultra for around $300. If any one wants multimedia Radeon is your answer.
