What's strange though is my gtx 670 ran BF4 almost just as good.

As far as games like BF4 what should I expect @ 1440p?

Im geting black screens with my R9 290 Vapor-X OC, but after so much tests, i find one solution, im install driver 14.4 and update for 14.7 RC3, and not have more black screens, i ill test the new beta 14.11.2.
Ps: my vbios is the most recent, because that i dont "update" vbios.

    Don't need one
it makes me lose confidence in AMD's hardware with every black screen issue I read although in same breath glad you guys sussed and fixed your issues, I had endless black screen issues with 3 monitors only so I dumped the two r9 290x's and replaced them with two gtx970's that was my fix for my black screen issues lol , I wont look back to AMD for quite a while as these gtx970's should see me good for few years .... I hope lol :)

Well it's been over a week or so. After tons of game time I have not had a single issue.
I do get some very small micro stuttering in BF4 but it's hardly noticeable.
