After the recent and brilliant RTX optimizations that our green guys did bring to us with the 4xx drivers this time is the Vulkan API to be addressed.
Despite the fact Nvidia was the first one among the two contenders to public its ABSOLUTE FIRST implementation and support for the new API we today are facing a scenario that was arguable just as the performance loss for the Pascal gpus.
    GameGpu has something to say.

    Wish you a good lecture.

I heard WarZ Vulkan performance is a mess on both sides but nvidia cards do stutter alot more. Yesterday there was an update to the game i think that address those issues.
Maybe someone who is playing the game can say little more.

Vulkan ran terrible on wwz, had to stick to dx11 mode, it was stuttering like porky pig on crack.

APIs are only as good as its used/implementation
Supporting more than single API can be huge waste of resources and there have to be benefits
For example for me DX12 in Shadow of the Tomb Raider doesnt hitch when it loads in cities
so much even on lower fps, it greatly helped with the experience

Ah crap, here we go again

    but still

that's why i'm going for intel in the next gen of gpu, because i don't trust amd or nvidia anymore

In the first time it may sound the best solution but after that days will pass they also will start to play the same game.
We need an open gpu which architecture may be designed by passionate people having in mind concrete results...and we just have an example of this kind...the ARM architecture.
Then manufacturers just as Qualcomm, Samsung and all the others will start to invest in it and give the customers some real good hardware that they deserve.
As we have seen this has worked with cpu's ...there is no reason it will not with discrete gpu's.
And honestly I will not regret to have a powerfull ARM cpu in my rig in the next coming years...recently have designed a voip client application targeting both x86 and ARM Cortex A53 architectures and I was the first one to be astonished how good and fast those small chips can do.

This is an AMD partnered game.
Also, did Nvidia actually state that they adopted anything for this game as in making incorporating it into a game ready driver release?

BUT I do wish Vulkan would see more widespread adoption, I was hoping for an alternative to aging dx11 / lacking dx12.
