I hope they are fixing the multiplayer bug soon.
Sometimes its nearly impossible to join a server.
Some things about graining and blistering.
Until now there is no 3rd party app which is displaying infos about this, but the build in "car physics" app can, although its a bit overloaded.
At first you have to activate the developer apps
Now you get this App and some more and some of them will crash assetto corsa (just don't open them)
VKM is the regular tyre wear and its defenitly not in % I would say its an imaginary value.
Grain Too cold tyres are graining if you put too much load onto them.
The graining reduces with an increasing tyre temperature and stops completely when the temperature is in the optimum range.
Blister Blistering starts under too high temperatures and load
Flat is simply flat spotting
All effects are not reversible, it looks like that blistering and graining are only based on tyre core temperatures (Edit: surface temps too), I'm not sure about the regular tyre wear.
Also in penalty zones you can't get flatspots, graining or blistering.
I love that they added tire warmers so you were not starting formula cars on stone cold tires.
Tried it on Friday. I can’t say I enjoyed it, because I did not get to drive it more than a few laps. I was messing with the setting for more than an hour and got bored. For RC there are still some big holes in it. The wheel rotation of example. The game does not adjust it for the different cars and does not seem to work with less than 900 degrees. I tried to make it less, but the virtual wheel is still rotating to 900 even if you limit it. Also the sound – it still does not have 5.1 support. I thought that for version 1.0 and the new sound updates it will at least have that.
You can change the rotation angel of the virtual wheel in the menus.
I think they are working on 5.1 its an fmod bug with track reverb.
You can, but it doesn’t do anything, at least on my side..
Grabbed the LaFerrari and SPA, set the time at 18:00, free practice, just outside the pit lane i was blown away. No music or distractions, just the sound of the engine, the beatiful sunset and a whole circuit for me to run my monster.
PJ may be shaping good, but what Kunos did is some sort of amazing thing. And they're italians like me!
For me its working
Using mostly the 360 pad and the virtual wheel is making me nervous so I reduced the motion angle.
Gave this a try. Damn the Cobra is freaking handful and a blast to drive with no aids.
Using G25 with 540 wheel rotation.
Game runs extremely well.
Maxed out with 4xAA 4016x1024 eyefinity
Looks good too.
I can only run it a little bit higher than medium.
Otherwise I don't get solid 60fps.
Beast of a car the mclaren p better be damn good to keep up.
No its just trento I think.
BTW the gif is killing my phone.
one word, Graphics are intolerably awful in this game, so dated...
Oh yes its so awful.
Which one word do you mean? I am really confused right now.. Is it "are", or maybe "graphics".. Please let me know because I probably wouldn't be able to sleep tonight without your explanation.
For now you can go back to playing NfS.
Heard another complaining about the graphics in this game.
I don't understand. Its much better than forza 4 level and I don't see why you need better graphics than this in a simulator. . . it looks fine. I don't really see anywhere the graphics could be improved ... the lighting model already got an update that was nice but I hardly notice it when driving.
With the new patch I was more thrilled about fmod and higher framerate than any graphical enhancements so far.
I really, really don't see why you think these graphics are 'awful ' ... it looks fine.
Did you try turning the settings up ?? lol
Force some sparse grid sampling, use adaptive AA, play with the PP filters.
Only thing wrong with the gfx in general is lack of light sources, no headlights no break glow, other than that? the game looks as good as any other driving game out there, though ive not seen the latest builds of pcars.
People making all sorts of custom PP settings anyway some are looking amazing themselves.
Beyond that i sense a troll if your going to flame AC over some gfx shortcomings that you eed to look really hard to find, sitting in car racing your not going to notice a damn thing period.
Part of the reason hardcore simmers downgrade gfx so much is yea you do not have time to notice or care about gfx 90% of the time while driving.
Then there the other 1% that are utterly clueless and think the trackside clutter is something other than a marker for your breaking points that you stare at them so hard and failing to drive well at all. Then bitching that the gfx are not good enough.
