Wrong drivers bud. You need Titanium drivers not the PCI XFI drivers. You need the Titanium drivers 3.55 driver set.

I've got the Sound Blaster PCI X-Fi Xtreme Audio card... here's a link to the exact card, with specs and even a little picture showcasing how craptastic it is compared to the other X-Fi cards. :3eyes:

    http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=26069

I have looked for modded drivers for this particular card before in the past and was unable to find any done by anyone, to my recollection. My guess on the reason for this is that it has something to do with this (user review pulled directly from Creative's online store):

So, basically... yah. Big steaming pile of :grab: Picked up the card like 8 years ago, before I knew any better (of course, Circuit City employee left out the key info, and I got duped like everyone else who bought it). Works fine for music, but no X-Fi chip + strange, shatty modded Audigy2 = audio processing for games done on CPU apparently, and not the card itself, making it weak-achu for games. :bang:

...that's all I know. If nothing can be done as far as drivers go, don't worry... I won't be devastated. I classified any hopes for improvement as a pipe-dream a while ago. Although, I'll bet if you made some drivers that worked and didn't do ANYTHING better, I'd still use 'em outta spite for Creative. :approval: Thanks man, let me know (and sorry about huge response).

very nice sounds, ill be testing the the next few weeks but the sound is much more 'complete' then with the original drivers as far as i can tell at this time. ?Been looking forward to some new sound on my system and my old X-Fi Elite Pro might just get a second life! Thanks a lot mate!

btw: this seems to work perfect for Arma2 series also!

    Hello Rob,

I recently got an X-Fi XtremeGamer and installed it using the latest X-Fi beta drivers. All is pretty good, but then I saw this thread.

So my question is, how would you describe what makes your driver different than Creative's in simple layman terms, and what benefits would I se... hear?

    Thanks. :)

Is there an FAQ with more concrete information about what is actually done to these drivers?

I spend a lot of time writing music and although interested I am sceptic. Is this more or less just a default EQ setting or...what? Does it affect ASIO performance in any way et.c?
