    1.40v REAL should be ok.
With so much built in vdroop or vdrop (whatever) it is wise too measure with dmm,not sure where easy read point on that board is thuo...
I have to because it overvolts so much with ll2 set on this board, but has alot of vdroop set on auto or ll1....i miss dfi and thier set it and thats what it is goodness.

I need to set llc on very high. 1.355v in bios for 4.8 ht on. after 4.8 it looks like I have to start jacking up the volts. its 1.336v full load IBT
I`m going to post some of the other voltage setting that are on auto
like cpu pll to make sure they arent overvolted to much
there are like 5 settings that concern me.
    flashed the new bios
the bios is very easy to navigate with a mouse
all power saving junk are disabled, as is turbo boost

1 step lower in volts from 1.355v in bios results in a blue screen.
core temps are in the mid 60`s ht on 4.8
ht off they are around 60c

There should be not much to concern with voltage settings wise
vcore vtt ddrv llc and sytem agent <maybe is all thats needed.(someone correct me if i'm wrong)you might have to have pll overvoltage set to find out your max multi.
on the bios without that option on my b2 ud7 board i(all) had no go over 48x at all,so it was needed.
Not sure if asus is different in that reguard.

So all them volts on auto aren't going to hurt?
Yeah I have the pll. Overvoltage setting. Its on auto. For up to 4.8 it should be disabled? Over 4.8 enabled. That why I had no luck over 4.8 lol

could be the reason but i think khalam said he is set on mostly auto on same board with getting 55x.

    I got 4.8 ht on/off saved as 2 profiles
is ht after 4.8 still possible? or is the clock speed too high for ht

    Wow, did I luck out...kinda.

My replacement Asus P8P67 board shipped on the 8th but it arrived with a visibly skewed PCI-E slot, making it unusable. When I called my buddy at the store, he authorized an immediate return shipping and said he'd make it up to me.

2 days later I received a Sabertooth replacement board! He knew the ST was my 1st choice for a board but I was also a tad cash strapped ATT, so he made it up to me with this ST at no extra charge, Overnight Express too...:heh:

Did the rebuild last Teusday, using stock cooler FTM, but after doing one BR encode the other day with OC @4.5, I quickly realized I needed a better cooler. On the encode pass my cores pegged @ 100% and my temps skyrocketed to over 87C
Shut-r-down...clocked it back to 3.8 and I could finish with temps @ 67C, and still cut the time to encode it x5. Love it, from 34hrs on core2 Duo to just over 7hrs now.

Ordered an Antec Khuler H20 620 closed loop liquid cooler last night and knowing my bud at the store, it'll prolly be here by Tues. Can't wait! Been reading allot of good stuff on that cooler, right on par with the Corsair H70 but MUCH quieter, I think it'll do the trick.
Anyone needing better cooling and maybe checking out a closed loop cooler, take a very hard look at that Antec H20, very impressive results across all the better test sites.
