I have just got me a new 24 inch LG M2452 Monitor/TV Its a "2 in 1" So its also a TV. Anyway.. When playing games it seems there is.. I guess a lack of smoothness? Its hard to explain. My old Benq 21" seems smooth compared to the LG. What would be causing this? I may well be taking this LG monitor back if it bugs me to much. But it is annoying. Well test a few more things/games and see how it goes. I have used TV's and Monitors over the years and never had anything like this before :\
Look for ways to turn off picture processing. My monitor (LG 27") is also a TV. It asks me if the device connected is a PC when I first plug it in.
Same. Im messing with the settings but no joy so far. I did find ODC (Overscan)I think. If i set it to high or low it makes the ghosting worse. Off its still bad. Will keep looking
its movement trace. Can see it when i move a red box inside a gray background. I took it back and took a ride over to scan. for the same money as I paid for the LG in Tesco, I got a 27" Benq GL2750 No ghosting with the red box thingy trick and OH MY JESUS its big!
I thought it was a good buy when I saw it. TV and monitor in one eh? Means when I get my YouView box from talktalk I can use that on the same screen. But I was not expecting to see ghosting let alone ghosting as bad as it was! This monitor has HDMI and DVI connections so I can still connect my youview box to it. My old Benq only has VGA and DVI so it would of been a hassle to get that connected. I'm still in shock at how big this is compared to my 22". It don't help that I'm sat 30cm away from it tho! xD There was 2 BenQ monitors I was looking at the one I got and another that was a VA panel. But id just been put off anything but a TN thanks to that crappy LG. So I got the TN panel Benq. 2ms GTG vs the VA panel's 4ms GTG and the TN was £10 more. Scan did have a 27" Viewsonic IPS monitor there for £206 but again.. I just wanted to get a TN panel as I have always used them and never had an issue. A case of sticking with what I know is good!
