:) my 05 score is 2120, im 8th overall in all 9600 series cards for 05, im pushing it higher soon :) ill let ya know when it happens

pushing it higher cause the 2120 was scored when i could only clock my memory to 675MHz, now i can get to 775MHz pretty easily, just need some ramsinks to get a little higher ;)

no ramsinks, gonna buy some soon though.

if you have samsung 2.86ns memory you can flash bios with samsung rated memory timings and set the memory much higher, check to see if you have the 2.86ns memory chips and ill send you the samsung rated timing bios.

you'll know 2.86 because last four numbers on the chip will be GC2A for samsung 2.86ns

for some reason my cpu scores were kinda low on those 2 tests, usually on 05 its ~4200 and ~760-780 for 03

hehe, as long as it has the samsung 2.86ns ram, its got lots of potential, the 3.3ns doenst really benefit from a bios flash, its only rated at 300MHz, so probably 320-330 max clocks.

yep i have the 1 with the right memory wish i knew this a while ago because then i wouldnt of needed to get a 9700pro which i got a few months ago coz i was not happy with performance. u score nearly the same 3dmark 2005 that i got with my 9700pro which wouldnt OC coz whoever had it b4 me overclocked the hell out of it.

so was the original bios faulty then? or they got the settings mixed up? just makes no sense to me. the bios only changes the mem timing from 2.8ns to 2.5ns? maybe its possible to do this with ati tray tools that can change memory timings, now that i could try more easily theres a few factors in the way of flashing my card for a while. ill look into it abit.

no the bios doesnt change mem timings at all, the Sapphire card comes with clocks of 500/650 stock, so they lower the mem timings, which in turn doesnt allow for the mem to run much higher than 335MHz, i flashed the bios and set the mem timings to the samsung spec sheet and it allos the mem to run at its rated speed for 350MHz by samsung, and i can go quite a bit higher. but there is no way to flash the mem to 2.5ns, its 2.86ns memory, ending in the numbers GC2A, the mem timings in bios were what needed changed to allow the mem to run at stated/above stated speeds.

hehe :) get some better cooling for your P4 and clock it to 3.4 or 3.6, i think you could pass 4000 that way :) my DFI NFII Ultra Infinity will be here monday or tuesday, and i'll pass 5051 :) 5051 was at 11x200 3200+ speed, ill be trying to be between 2.5-2.7GHz depending on how it works out :) and then my score will go up some since GT1 makes a large use of the CPU power and GT2/GT3/GT4 dont have that big of an affect on CPU power very slight at the most.
