    Hi All,

I'm after some advise for a GPU upgrade, I currently have 2x 290's on water, I want to move to a single card.

I was going to get a Gigabyte 1080Ti aorus WB which was £617 + vat but they went out of stock!

So I got looking and started thinking is a Ti really worth the cost?

    My options are:

    AMD vega 56
    GTX 1080
    GTX 1080Ti

Either one I'll need to buy a waterblock which will cost me an additional £82 + vat.

Do I buy a card to tied me over till Volta comes out next year or buy the best card and expect to lose £££ when Volta comes out?

    Hi there

If I would do then I would suggest get EVGA GTX1080Ti Founders Edition and block from EK or any other company like is Watercool Heatkiller etc

Prices went up after while what I remember, I paid for my EVGA GTX 1080Ti Founders Edition around £625 last time

If its really worth it get Ti hard to say, have used like GTX1080 SLI which if you ask me is pain in arse and comparing both setups, I prefer Ti for gaming

You will definitely lose your money when new cards come that's how always is it and how it works

Volta should be here around end of the year or beginning next year

If you are looking to future proof hard to recommend there but as budget card I would have look on Vega 56 or GTX1070

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

I'm maxed out at 2025 boost and runs at a nice 23c idle and 39c load.

PC's isn't like a radiator now running 2x 290's! Might have to put some extra clothing on during winter now.
