New Forums

Luckily we have the Ambience theme. Without it the forums look like sh*t. I think that after all of the plugins are installed the forums will be as good as ever.

 

Good job guys, I've been waiting for Guru3D to upgrade for a quite long.

Anyways, I've always wanted Guru3D to add better emotions and was wondering can you add emotions along the lines of these? Some of these do include the Neowin.net logo but ignore those, as this dude made them and he's a Neowin.net fan-boy .

dude, its templates and cascading script that they have to modify.. not only that.. sometimes they have to mod files as well

 

Yeah to add the specs they have to add the 'viewing' files of the forum, its not hard but they have other things to work out before working on the easy things.

 

Also I have a couple of suggestions:

ImageShack Syndication: http://reg.imageshack.us/content.php?page=syndicate

This will add a field for uploading images to imageshack and will most probably eliminate the questions about images.

Custom Titles: Well i've always wondered if this site could have them, I mean I dont see any harm with them, i've seen and surfed at sites that use custom titles so can we possibly have those? Its your choice admins, but I would love to have them .

 

Well, good that many of you like this. I don't. Where's the old good theme, I want it back, these new themes look horrible. I mean the real one, not the ambience, the one before that, I remember when the ambience came. We will be able to get that back soon, right? I'm using this sand thingy because I want something under the name, the posts, location and those.

And why, why the reply button is in different place...

BTW, is that "reputation" some new feature? The yellow button.

 

This is just a suggestion:

Could you possible put the display of the users browsing the particular forum you are in at the top like before? I think on the main forum page it is good at the bottom, but in the seperate areas it is good at top...

No biggy, just a minor thing, others will probably disagree with me -shrugs-

 

Dont worry, they aint done yet.

I didn't think that things would change this much over me becoming ancient guru. LOL!

This new layout will make it harder to view system specs--you have to click on their profile.

I am also curious as to how the reputation feature works.

And Griffin they have had custom titles all along, it has always been admin preference as to who receives them. That said, if they are handing them out I've always wanted one

*EDIT: The new smiley sticking it's tongue out is ugly. I hate him.

It's a bit lagging

 

one thing we did notice after the upgrade was that the CP was SLOW ! ! !

 

I'm glad the reply button is on the left! When someone posted a long sentence or picture, you had to scroll right to find the reply button! Yay for that! (Or so says lazy me)
Also it's good to see the forum is still easy on the eye (colorwise)

Yeah, you're probably right. Having the specs easily visible helped us help each other.

Yeah, I agree with you on this one. I like the button on the left.

 

I just noticed with the new theme, our profiles, "Additional Information" all the information does not show up.

Everyones only shows these items:

Videocard:
Processor:
Memory:
Soundcard:

At least here on my 19" CRT that's all I see. Seems odd that the others are not showing up.

I like it. Much better than the older forum style. Love the edit feature...better than it opening up a new window to edit the post.
