    1920x1200@60 Hz bug gone

People using SONYs FW900 with a resolution of 1920x1200 can finally get 85Hz and play BF2 :D

Nvidia only makes drivers for their latest video cards. Screw all the faithful previous owners. I have a Geforce Go 7900 gs with a driver dated back to the summer of last year in xp and back to january with vista. The vista driver is horrible and most of my games run slowly. What is wrong. Is it that hard for them to fix the drivers? ATI is doing a hell of a better job than nvidia.

All Vista drivers so far have given me gaming problems with a 7900 GT.
Hopefully this one will be better as it's annoying booting onto XP just to enjoy some gaming...

Yup, just check your laptop manufacturer's site for latest video drivers, nvidia made a statement that it's their job to update the drivers, not nvidia's. But their 'update' would most likely consist of a modified inf so that the driver could be installed on a go card, so my point here is very clear: just try one of the latest drivers with the proper inf file and I'm pretty sure that everything will work out.

I beg to differ. My 6800 is plenty good enough to play what I need it for. My only crime seems to be illustrating that these drivers aren't delivering full performance for older cards. Sue me.

I know for a fact that not everyone here owns a 8800, nor even wants to. I get enough PM's regarding getting better Vista performance on older cards lol.

Not to mention I clearly see my 6800 card is actually supported by the inf.

You wont see me flame people for owning a 8800's when I use *newer/better* HD2900XT's.

If the postings of somebody with an older card offends you, please do not flame them, just ignore and resist the urge to pointlessly flame them.

You're in the wrong place here. Someone will always have something bigger and better than you here lol.

I hope this helps you to become a better person.

With these drivers I get a random black flicker while doing just about anything...games, web or just sitting on the desktop...

    redownloaded,unistalled,reinstalled,rinsed and repeat...

    same thing...

    went back to 158.45...

    no more flicker....

these work good for me. slightly faster then 158.45's, tho i only have 60hz as a refresh rate option were i used to have up to 75. oh well. doesn anybody know if a driver will EVER fix that issue in jedi academy where the fps is so slow?

I only have 60Hz refresh rate, and BF2 doesn't run at all!

How do you guys know that these are from Nvidia not some kid in China modding a official driver? Their not on any Nvidia or Nvidia Beta website.
I heard a little while ago that their is a contest to see who could have their fake Nvidia drivers installed on the most PC's.

WHQL is done by Microsoft. As far as i know if anyone tampers with it the WHQL signature is lost.

Besides no one knows thats why there is a disclaimer... but they seem to work okay for me.

The 160.x must have leaked from quadro beta drivers. I'm pretty sure they are legit... weather to use them or not dunno :)

158.45 is the best driver to date because 160.04 WHQL has issue with DX 10 games like COH.

Whoa, whoa. You look at some banchmarks that don't come from 3dmark and tell me the 8800 GTS/GTX doesn't stuff the ATi HD2900XT.

In fact I will get the ball rolling:

your cpu is bottlenecking your card unless you failed to update you profile. I hit just under 10000 on 3dmark6. I have little or no issues with all games I have played. due to the lack of memory i have had to lower a few settings mostly for shaders but nothing to get worked up about it. my cpu is 6000+
