So now that I'm forced to use this horrific new Control Panel, is there a program out there that will let me set my refresh rate overrides?

Someone mentioned "Expert tool" earlier in this thread. Will that work, and where do I get it?

    Thanks. :)

expert tool wont set your refresh rates. i use Refresh Lock 2.21 for XP, and Vista. try it.

dudes, explore this thread, there is a post explaining how to use the classic panel, its about changing some keys on the registry.. i did it and it works now.. i also made it work with rivatuner just by changing the value to 10102

Yeah but I heard you lose certain functionality after you reboot using that method.

Thanks for the help, Burnt_Ram. Works great!

yust flashed my card with nvflash a few days ago with the OC settings
maybe bit of a danger, but the settings are stable as long as i have this card.

flashing can be an option, but read very carefull the tutorials before getting in to action (1ste saving your bios, 2nd editing and 3de flashing to OC status)
then you wont have to run any program to get the higher speeds

I agree with you I am just about to do that with mine.

    Uninstall Video drivers
Flash my card to 285 \ 505 \ 1560 using commands below in dos.
    nvflash -r
    nvflash -2 -4 -5 -6 bios.rom
    ctrl alt dlt
    reinstall video drivers.

I usually get to free up all the memory from the tool using it always keep your original bios saved and never loose it I keep everything on my jump drive I can boot to it and have all of my bios files for motherboard and video card etc on it...

dont forget this one to run first "saving your bios"
    "nvflash -b biosname.rom"

for a GX2 to save, cause they have 2 different biosses :
    "nvflash -b i0 GX2bios1.rom" (Backup the First GX2 BIOS)
    "nvflash -b i1 GX2bios2.rom" (Backup the Second GX2 BIOS)

running from a USB stick is also possible, just make that stick bootable and place the nvflash files on it.
give you more room to save to instead of a 1.44M disk

I saw that post, too, however it works fine for me through multiple reboots and different user logins.

Interesting - AA works for me, but AF is locked to App Controlled. Also, AA is limited to 4x. I'll have to try RivaTuner later & see if it can "fix" things.

101.02 increased performance with stalker 7800gs

Installed the 101.02 drivers and increased performance for STALKER. BF2 plays good too and other games.

7800GS running good no stutters at the moment.

running static lights all maxed out 1600x1200. vysnc and 60hz dont go over that any way but its so smooth and there was increase in dynamic lights but not worth switching. going back through game cause there is so much and its time cause havoc.

anyone still has that pass of the 1st posted files

with the one here on Guru3D a get a message installing"these are not XP drivers supporting your card"

wanted to do a re-install after that i updated those new DX files.
the 93.81 installs perfect, and the original files did to the first time i installed them

so if any still has that password, can i have it?
