I hear they sent the drivers to reviewers, so I suppose they might have gotten some last minute bug feedback they want to fix.

I'm not in a big hurry for the drivers but I might consider getting a second 7970 if the fix works and CF scaling is working. Last time I tried CF the support was dreadful with most of the games I played.

Hilberts already done his review, just waiting for the drivers to get released before he puts it up :)

:puke2:welp, that settles it for me. to hell with amd. i'm utterly sick and tired of their bull****. no new real drivers (not that optimized windows 8 crap) for over two months, and now this horse crap? wtf. i will definitely be going nvidia next year, that's for sure.

yeah same here. i probably won't notice much if any difference since i use the same. i've been smooth sailing/microsutter free since launch by using the same combo, but it would be nice to finally get a new driver that improves something at least.

anyways, my prediction is that only people who don't already use v-sync/fps limiter and triple buffering will notice a difference. for those like you and me, i think it will be just "meh".

if amd actually supported downsampling and true ssaa like nvidia does, then i would be a happy camper, until then, i think i'm going to the green team for my next upgrade. not because nvidia is superior in anyway, but because they actually listen to and provide support to their customers. they also don't lie as much as amd does.

Some games - using Vsync increases load times from 30 secs to 3 minutes. 4 minutes if FPS cap <60 is used!

Nop Nvidia are as honest as a company can get. That's just an impression you get. Nvidia does reach out more to its customers. It also strikes them when they're not looking. I can give several example but I'd rather not right now, in this topic.

Does anybody know if these new drivers that were scheduled improve anything for single GPU configurations?

I'd really love to see better performance on my 7950 OC edition.

you will not see the improvement nobody with single gpu, frame pacing is meant for mgpu improvements the fluidness, less stuttering, less microstutter, etc. :)

now if there is a percentage of up to 5% more performance it's another story.

well i suppose it will be something huge for enthusiast gamers, these drivers are meant to be better and smoother than the first prototype driver months ago :3eyes:
