I am getting a 480 GTX today, myself. :/

 

WacKEDmaN, actually i wasn't supporting your point, but reading it back, it does look like that.
I was meaning that if someone only plays one game, and that game is broken by one driver, then it in reality, that is a bad driver for them no matter their experience as a PC user, and you can't really put them down for that because its not a lie.

Just tested these, as usual, a boring waste of time, movies work perfect, and games like BFBC2,Mafiia2, Metro2033, Fifa11, Darksiders and PES2011/Fifa11 all work well, not tested SFIV though.

 

So have uninstall the Geforce 261.00 driver and install Geforce 259.32 Beta,
and now my movies play smooth as silk again ( in SLI ).

So WacKEDmaN it is the driver, and not me, i think i gone stay a wile on
Geforce 259.32 Beta, games run well with this, and Darksiders also runs greet
with it.

Also WacKEDmaN it's not a little thing if movies won't play good, if you
almost look at them every day.

Well I tried the driver on a few different cards.This is a rarity for me,when a driver does not preform as it should.

On my Fermi cards the FPS slows to a crawl,making games unplayable.All the video memory is being used up and the games I play run at less then 10FPS.
480GTX,470GTX

I have a 250GTS 1GB and there was not a problem,weird indeed.

The longer I keep using these fermi cards,the more I am turned off by them.
Some of the games I play the 250GTS is just as good as the Fermi cards.

Anyway I went back to driver 260.89 and all seems to be good again.

Now it just come down to the drivers,but it seems Nvidia are having a rough time with the drivers over the last couple months.Heres hoping the 580 cards are a little better.

 

We all have to realize that these drivers are developer drivers. Ther are bound to be some issues.

 

I am not able to test at the moment, but has anyone tried BC2 with these yet?

I'm sorry for bothering you with this question but it's odd.
after running a game and then return to window, i launch msi afterburner and the temp of my card is around 75°C, the fan speed increase roughly for decrease the temp.
It mean that during the game the fan speed is low.
Have you any idea?

Let run afterburner all time and in it set automatic fan profile to your liking :-D

 

Well NVIDIA did say they were going to start supporting the DX7 legacy games again. This is why I'm trying to update these drivers so I can play FF5.55, Falcon 4 AF, among other DX7 legacy games. With out buying a new NVIDIA card or bite the bullet again and buy ATI(AMD).
Well guess what I bit the bullet AMD HD 6870 on the way. :biggun:

By the way I have been in the PC repair bussiness since 1997, I think I know what I'm doing. :bathit:

 

Drivers version over 190 have had dissapointment and are going to force me to change to ATI brand, because solution havent wound. This is because version 190 and never have changed the ways how resize and desktop scaling works.
Newer versions force you to make custom resolution to make it resize and the reason to change to that method have sayd to be quality .
Well since then the quality have been even worst. Color arent as vivid, there are anomalies in screen on some custom resolution, many custom resolution my monitor wont support or quality is bad, blurry or shaking screen, in some desktop isnt correctly resized, and you name it. There are games that dont support the custom resolution.
There aint anything goog to say that mechanic, older one worked like a charm. WHy, oh why it have changed, at least give option to use older method. Iam stuck on lower than 190 version drivers.
My next graphics card definetely is not Nividia card !

 

Yuu are making no sense here. First you say youve changed to ATI and then you ask for the next driver to allow you to use the old method. Did you change to ATI or not?
