    Looks good Wanny - so can I simply force it via the control panel or is there other tweakery needed for Dead space?

    i've been using the 258.96 whql because they were fantastic, was disappointed with every driver nvidia released since, new drivers had better performance but caused random stutters every now and then and also playing videos (starting and closing the player) caused playing mp3s to skip for a second which never happened with previous drivers.

    tried the 266.35 beta and at last i can say these are the best drivers to day for me, faster than the 258.96 without said stutters and mp3s dont skip anymore when i start and close the video player, all games are running great and some look better too IQ wise, options work fine such as applying AA and AF.

    so yeah i'm happy now. ;)

    need Nvidia inspector and enter this at Antialiasing compatibility : 0x004030C0.

    Then you select Override AA, apply AA of your choice.

    So yeah. COD BO gpu usage hovers from 67 to 96, AVG fps 45 with 1200p, 8xAA, all max details with no vsync. As long as i drop AA gpu usage also drops, so i didnt took the tests in account. Hope it helps someone.

    just tried a few more benchmarks and wow gained 5fps in Mafia2 with Physx enabled and 4xAA forced (jericho profile), 48fps! (it was 43fps previously) i ran the benchmark 3 times to believe it, that was a great boost.

    other fps increase

    Dirt2 = 5fps increase
    Just Cause 2 (dark tower) = 2fps
    Farcry2 = 3fps
    Darkest Of Days with PhysX on = 3fps

    there is no "low" gpu usage. only time you'll see low gpu usage is when your cpu isnt able to supply your graphic card. for eg in BO and BC2 with my 8800 SLi machine i get 80-90% gpu usage all the time on all recent drivers. why you may ask, well that's because they are fed with a Core i5 @ 3.6ghz, when those same cards where fed by a Q6600 @ similar clocks i always had low gpu usage.

    Ok got to the bottom of it. For me the in-game AA settings are the cause of crashes. If I disable AA in-game and override it with nvidia's control panel everything appears to work fine. It's got to be fixed one way or the other but at least now I can play my games the way I want them...

    Both 266.xx gave me problems with 32xCSAA in BC2 (crashes).

    And when i tried to uninstall them ....BOOM black screen lol

    Back to 265.90 and everything is fine.

    IT seems Nvidia reported that x32AA in BC2 is broken anyhow. They recommend to use 4xAA on resolutions at 1080p and over, with multi or supersampling x2AA.

    I tried it, and it looks great, and no crashing on this driver at all.:banana:
