New DLSS DLL 2.3.9 shows little to no ghosting?!

Yep, works on the GOG version, I have the DLSS indicator enabled to confirm.

What driver part? Probably GFE (which is nothing close to being "driver" related).

No, just the usual driver. Was like this back in 2021, changing DLLs had zero effect on what DLSS version CP2077 was using.
(Which is also why it was really funny reading all the reports of swapping DLLs making "huge" improvements there.)

Using nvcleanstall, you can turn on the dlss indicator, it's the little watermark that you can enable using the sdk.

Interesting tip! Apparently it can be controlled by a registry setting (source)

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore]
    "ShowDlssIndicator"=dword:00000000

I change the DLSS 2.3.9 and 2.4.3 and Cyberpunk seem to load them fine when I check the process explorer software.

I always presumed that changing the nvngx_dlss.dll in a games folder to a version of my choosing - made that game use that version of DLSS .dll. Are you saying that aint the case? Or perhaps just not the case for Cyberpunk? Cos I 'was' super sure that what I am saying is correct.. :/

I see in a previous message you say that NVIDIA provide DLSS in drivers, therefore overriding any game provided DLSS .dll. If thats the case then why do all these DLSS enabled games provide a DLSS .dll? Makes little sense to me. And fact the nvngx_dlss.dll is in a games root folder / game.exe, to me - usually means it would always take priority other any other. Thats my understanding anyway...

You won't see a driver level DLL substitution from process expolorer. It is also unlikely that DLSS indicator mentioned above will show it correctly. Driver can do stuff at very low level.
That being said I dunno if it's still the case with latest CP versions and latest drivers.

It was a special case for CP2077 specifically AFAIK. It became unnecessary after CDPR released an update with a newer DLSS version included.

looks like indisputable proof, it shows exactly which dll remains in use

Nonsense. If "the driver" (i.e. some helper process/module in usermode) really did something like this, it would be reflected in the game's process. A usermode driver also is just a DLL loaded by a process, and a kernelmode driver doesn't do stuff like this.

What would be reflected where? Do you know what driver user mode DLL does inside its process? The only nonsense I'm seeing here thus far is what you're writing.

Or you just prove that there are active threads inside a game process that are by a DLSS module that differs from the one in the game's directory. Until then, please refrain from spreading stupid rootkit-like driver behavior FUD, as you're apparently convincing NOBODY.

Didn't know there was a new one (2.4.6), may give it a go.

It imho gives similar/same results like 2.3.9/2.4.3. Maybe thin line jittering is a bit less harsh than with 2.3.9, but hard to tell.

THANK YOU for this. All of the other ways to do this are clunky and broken.

Funny, it doesn't replace the DLL when starting the Epic Games Launcher version.

So it works by just replacing the dll?
