I was a bit surprised today when I was playing Crysis for about an hour and my FPS started dropping to 1-2 quite often and became a bit un-playable. I alt-tabbed to check my temps on my video card and all, and yea, surprise, I had no ram left (this time with no firefox or utorrent open). had to restart the game.

Still, sometimes I don't really understand why in the high demanding games they freeze for about a second sometimes. Can it be programs like kaspersky or something?

Also I benchmarked GRID following the details of a website who benchmarked a few cards raging from GTX 295 to gt 7600. Their HD4870 averaged 86 FPS while I only averaged 74 FPS. The only difference was their CPU who was around 3.2 GHZ. Are some cards of the same type simply a bit slower than others with the same specs?

I didn't tried it with Windows 7 x64 yet, but I know it works with build 7000 32 bit version.

Did you tried to set FBWHTool.exe compatibility mode to "Vista" or "XP"?

i consider dx9 16*10 enthusiast to be unplayable with any aa, i think the game would hover between 30-40fps usually on those settings w motion blur turned off but with 2aa it more like sits 25-35 and goes below 30 way more often, which is a shame, because aa is so tasty, anyone elses machines keen for punishment for comparisent? p.s notice the 16q aa...just incase u didn't see

I can't enable "Ranked Benchmark". I've tried to read this entire thread lookin for someone with a similiar problem.

I have the latest versions of FrameBuffer 0.32 and CPU-Z 1.49 I keep getting an error telling me GPU-Z is not running.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    :O

    You're welcome :)

You must run and minimize GPU-Z to be able to use Ranked Benchmark option.

    :)

That's what I'm doing, both as "Admin" under Vista32.
FBWH runs without problems, just no ranking option.

    Does not see CPU-Z running.

Edit: I have the CPU-Z application & .ini on my desktop. FBWH "C:\Program Files\Framebuffer Crysis WARHEAD Benchmark Tool\"

Edit 2: Same issue when CPU-Z is placed in same folder as FBWH.

AndrettiGTO, you don't need CPU-Z running, you need GPU-Z

I was pulling my hair out with my setup,so I remove my physics card.Stopped playing in 32 bit mode and found a sweet spot for my video cards.

I must thank you all for supporting it ;)

And now that's are some awesome results :D

If possible, please run Ambush/DX10/Enthusiast/AA 0x and AA 4x and Avalanche/DX10/Enthusiast/AA 0x and AA 4x, I'm curious about how far my 4870X2 is from GTX 285 in SLI.

    Thanks!

I've found that under Vista32, my DX10 performance with ATI 9.1 is disappointing. I hope we get better scaling for multiple GPU's in the future. On my wish list is a higher res. monitor to push my system more. I'm using a dual boot XP/Vista set-up so later I will check my performance under XP.

It's a pretty neat benchmark you have here. Would be nice if the results page could have some form of summary/overview. Sort of an "at a glance" top performers we can shoot for.

By the way, my wife's not happy at all with your time sucking creation... ;)
