Hotfix are online, dl....
First impressions on my 5970, I got a bsod when going in to eyefinity mode..
Second impressions are better. It rebooted in to my eyefinity configuration..
I loaded up IL2 and it worked fine. I loaded up dirt 2 and it finally came up with crossfire..
I turned on to ultra settings and 2xaa 5760x1200 and it is really good. I do a lot of simming and the fps, whatever it is - will measure it sometime, is good, no slowdowns.
I dont play dirt, it came with the card but if it was rfactor and I was racing in a league it would be supurb..
Ok, I will ask a simple question because I'm starting to get a bit confused here..
I know the differences between the official 9.12 and the Hotfix ones..
But can someone advice me on one simple thought.
Which ones should I installed for my 4770? Official or Hotfix ones? Thanks.
Hotfix is the newest available driver, not WHQL certified as it's basically a beta that fixes a few of the issues that 9.12 had but I would recommend it, more fixes and improvements are always useful.
(Ofcourse due to hardware differences and so on there's always a few issues for some people wether that means the drivers are unstable or perform badly but it's like that with every driver for every component.)
Jonas I'm running the Hemlock drivers since they been posting here.. No problems at all.. Working great.. Very satisfied with them..
My concern is.. Does it worth it to go in the trouble of cleaning the drivers and installing this new ones? Performance wise?
i for one had performance increase after installing these.
even dirt2 had higher fps with these.
(had 9.11 hotfix installed first)
Ok.. 9.12 Hotfix it is.. Already downloaded and waiting for installation.. Thank you guys.
Does anybody here get flickering textures in borderland or freezing.
Tried it with a 4850 512mb and windows 7 got flickering textures.
tried it with a 4870 1GB and vista 64 froze up after 5min of playing.
Hi, I just did. I got one screen lock and sound loop. I was playing L4D2 for around an hour before it happened. It wasn't a grey screen this time though, it was the brown bars.
is there any solution, how to fix cryostasis dx 10 stuttering?
yup sure get core i7 975 + 16GB ddr3 1800MHz + 2x 5870 in CF
500W PSU? Maybe you should get a stronger one, PSUs never deliver 100% of the Wats you see on the box, a 500W goes around 390W and 450W.
Of course they do.
The problem is, they aren't all delivered on the 12V rails.
Unless there's significant overclocking involved there's no need.
I used to run this very setup on my old Seasonic 430W perfectly fine, which I should since it's on the official recommended list for the 4870.
I only got a new PSU since I had to get a new chassi/PSU for my girlfriends rig anyway.
People, computer enthusiasts especially, tend to vastly overestimate the power requirements of their rigs.
It's a good idea to remember that Seasonic make pretty good power supplies. A budget PSU from a cheap manufacturer may have a much lower efficiency due to it's cheaper components and build quality, in turn outputting fewer Watts with reduced stability.
My CoolerMaster PSU is getting close to the maximum load it can deal with. There is still a tiny bit of room to play with, but I've watched the 12V output slowly draw nearer to the limit of it's stability with each increase I add to it's load.
These days it often reads somewhere around 11.9~V.
what heppened? after 9.12 i get this
what should i do?
and when using msi afterburner too!
I'm getting MOM.Implementation error with these. .NET should be up to date on Win 7 x64 right? When I try to install the latest 3.5 nothing happens.
Edit: Windows was installing an old driver from it's cache whenever I installed the new Cats. I had to manually delete the files through device manager, driver sweeper didn't pick them up. After doing that I could install the 9.12's without the mom_implementation error.
